The Wenatchee River Institute believes the greatest hope for the future is to connect people, communities and the natural world. With high quality facilities, programs, and staff, students and people of all ages are engaged in learning about, and caring for, our area's often fragile environment. Each experience is created to inspire an understanding of, and an appreciation for, the natural world. The Wenatchee River Institute facilities and services are available to all, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin or citizenship status, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

The Wenatchee River Institute (WRI) believes the greatest hope for the future is through connecting people, communities and the natural world. We engage thousands of learners annually through transformative environmental education on our campus in Leavenworth and across North Central Washington. Each experience is created to help participants understand their environment and discover the impact they can have in the world and their community. 

TRANSFORMATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION FOR ALL AGES

We engage thousands of learners, at all ages, through transformative environmental education. Whether it's searching for aquatic macroinvertebrates in the river on a hot summer day, trekking through the snow on snowshoes, or going on your own self-guided tour on our 13-acre property, each experience helps people connect and build a relationship with the natural world.
