My name is Claire and I am the French teacher. I’ve been an elementary teacher in Belgium (French part) for 13 years before we arrived in the Bay Area in 2014. From our expatriation, I’ve continued to work in education as a preschool teacher (French preschool) and as a French tutor. I am also the happy mother of a 7 years old boy and 3 years old girl. During these five weeks of classes, I would like to work with my students on two themes: fruits et légumes (fruits and vegetables) and les vacances d'été (the summer holidays). We will include some cooking activities (kids friendly cocktail) and crafts. This class is intended for students with some French knowledge

This class is tailored for students from k-2 graders. Experienced native Spanish speaker teaching in the Bay Area for 25yrs, will introduce and will develop the Spanish language through music, games, food, role playing, educational material and conversation. Teacher may alternate curriculum to suit student’s language abilities. Claudia’s message: “My main goal is to help students to love Spanish while talking, playing and singing… I have a bachelor’s degree in pedagogy and music. The students get handouts to continue working at home.
SPANISH for 3rd – 5th Grade A Bridge to the World with teacher Luckie Leiva
This class is designed to welcome older beginner students 3rd graders as well as to be a bridge for 4th and 5th graders preparing for middle school Spanish. Students will be engaged in active, fun and creative activities to develop both grammatical and cultural literacy as well as a strong foundation for more advanced language study. Our classes will include cultural immersion by exploring music, games, food, art and traditions. These 5-week lessons will focus on regular verb conjugation and Food theme, including a one-day cooking, following recipe in Spanish.
Classes will be ONLINE through ZOOM Wednesdays from 1:30-2:10
$100 for the 5 40-minute lessons
