Campers spend their day learning the basics of horseback riding & horse care. They are taught about safety around the barn, grooming, tacking, after-riding care, equine terminology & anatomy as well as riding. Each child receives a riding lesson daily and often times enjoy an afternoon ride around the farm, weather dependent. Guest speakers, demonstrations, written materials are all utilized to heighten the learning experience. Safety: there are always two instructors present during riding lessons & adult supervision is maintained throughout the day.
When not with the horses, the balance of the day is PURE KID FUN!
Games, arts & crafts, water activities & much more fill the day with laughter.
Rain or shine, VPF Summer Camp provides a safe, fantastic learning experience in the wonderful world of horses.
