Music Performance Camp

Incredible 4-Week Music Performance Summer Camp For Voice, Piano, Drums, DJ'ing, Guitar and Bass Guitar. 

Daily, Two-Hour Performance Workshops For Voice, Guitar, Piano, Bass Guitar & Drums. These two-hour camps take place Monday-Thursday, from July 24th through August 10th. Performance Camps include registration our Instrument Camp Package. All musicians get to perform in our end of summer concert on Friday August 11th.

DON’T JUST ROCK, PERFORM. Rock music camps are everywhere nowadays, but most students leave camp wishing there was more to it. Van Tuyl Music Academy gives each performer the opportunity to go beyond a few jam sessions and a thrown-together show at the end of the week. We take our musicians on a four-week journey that leaves them forever changed. 

GO BEYOND THE JAM SESSION. VTMA believes there’s more to a rock ‘n roll music camp than sitting in a room all day, waiting for your chance to play a song. Our unique combination of instrument classes, music theory courses and performance workshops go beyond what has ever been offered for a music camp.

INSTRUMENT IMMERSION. Van Tuyl Music Academy instrument camps are a great opportunity for musicians of any ability level to develop their skills on a specific instrument. Our performers experience a unique blend of instrument technique classes that cover everything from chords, notes, rhythms and theory to solos, improvisation, and performing.

EXCITING ENVIRONMENT. Our musicians will spend each day surrounded by other musicians their age, hanging out and learning from incredibly qualified music instructors. For both the music lover and the total beginner, it’s the perfect start to any summer day!

LIMITED ENROLLMENT. At Van Tuyl Music Academy, we strive to provide each performer with the maximum amount of instructor attention, performance time and of course, FUN! To accomplish this, we limit the number of musicians who may enroll in our camps.

JAM YOUR HEART OUT. Musicians in our VTMA Performance Workshops do more than just jam with other musicians. They learn to develop the confidence to truly perform and own the music. This starts with giving our musicians the skills and understanding to sound their absolute best. Playing in time. Playing as a unit. Communicating with your band. Heads up performance. Once our musicians and bands have developed these concepts, they learn to truly perform and own their moment on stage. Connect with the audience. Feel the rhythm. READY TO ROCK. Unlike other music camps, where valuable jamming time is spent teaching each musician his or her part, our performers come in ready to rock. Our musicians invest the first hour of the day in our Instrument Camp, learning the songs they’ll perform with their band. This makes them confident and prepared to discover their ability to perform with other musicians, as a band.
