Tosha The Tutor/Math Motivator

Greetings! My name is Tosha Barnes and as a general educator I have taught students grades 1 through 8 for 20 years. Most of my experience is in grades 4 and 5. I began my teaching career in Newark and Orange Public Schools in New Jersey. Subsequently, I taught in Howard County Public Schools in Maryland for 13 years. I am currently entering my 4th year of teaching in Cobb County School District in Marietta, Georgia. I hold a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University, an M. Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University, and an Administration and Supervision Post-Master’s Certificate from John Hopkins University.​

Since the age of 6 my heart has burned with the desire to teach. I am joyful, grateful, and excited that I received that calling and I truly love helping students learn, feel confident about learning, and be successful. Math, in particular, is a subject that I find to be very fulfilling.
