About
The Right Approach to Education

The Right Approach to Education offers camps to kids from K - 12th Grade during summer in San Mateo, California. We also provide after-school care and classes throughout the year. We integrate all learning styles and teach through movement, visual aids, music, and hands-on activities in our programs. We have a dedicated staff of credentialed teachers and specialists who work to understand the needs of each learner who walks through our doors. We also strive to help students from all backgrounds and provide for those who would otherwise be left behind due to societal challenges, such as poverty or inadequate access to basic social services.

At TRA, we believe it is a social responsibility in providing high-quality education and access to each individual who comes to us, regardless of his or her social and/or economic circumstances, by giving back to the community. Please let us know if financial hardships are a barrier in obtaining education for your child and we will work with you to provide resources or teaching at a discounted rate.

They assisted my younger brother with his HSPT exam. He had the raw knowledge, but was intimated by the test. They helped remove the stigma of the test and pushed him to combine his knowledge with test strategies to improve his score in all categories. He got into his top 3 high schools and only has to stress about which one to pick!!!

Hi, thanks, how does this class compare to Writer's Workshop? (Writing Essays- A Refresher)

Hi Deborah, Thank you for your question! Typically, a writer's workshop includes a mini-lesson or prompt in the beginning, then the bulk of class is time for students to write. In this class, we will teach and engage with the students much more so that they can get as much out of the class as possible. Of course, there will be quick writes assigned in class as well as homework so that students have an opportunity to practice what is being taught. Think of us as classroom teachers providing potent small group instruction to maximize learning and retention. I hope this helps!. -
