Join us for a FUN and QUIRKY production of Seussical Kids the Musical at Gardner Bullis!
“Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child, who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton's challenge is twofold – not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!”
AUDITIONS: Feb. 14th from 3:00 – 5:00
CALLBACKS: Feb. 16th from 3:15 – 5:00 (Anyone not called back should pick up scripts when they get out of class)
CAST LIST: Will be emailed to parents the evening of Feb. 17th
SHOW: May 20th at 7:00PM
REHEARSALS: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 – 4:30. (The Green Room will provide supervision starting at 2:25pm).
**Everyone is called to Thursday rehearsals.
**Only certain characters will be called to Tuesday rehearsals.
** Rehearsal may go until 5pm during the last week before the show.
***A minimum of 24 students are needed for this production.
COST: $385 - There will not be an additional costuming charge, however the Director may request that participants bring basic items to wear from home.
GRADES: 2nd - 6th
