Overview

Student-Teacher Ratio 7:1

The camp environment we have created and fostered feels a lot like that 'old neighborhood', with sports, games and socializing going on almost non-stop. Contests, barbeques, slip & slide, water fights, treasure hunts, trivia, arts & crafts, hide and seek, tug-of-war, kick-the-can, tons of laughter, board games, card-trading, prizes.... These things, in combination with structured sports and instruction, create the simultaneously relaxed, crazy, fun and educational feel of our program. This is a wonderful place for children to play, get tons of exercise, and develop socially, physically, and athletically.

Fees include fruit juice at morning snack and again at lunch, a frozen treat at the end of each day, catered lunch on Field Trip Fridays and Fantastic Fridays, all athletic equipment, a camp t-shirt.

Every boy is grouped with other boys of similar age (There is also a girls camp.) These stable cohort groups remain together, led by the same counselor and junior counselor, for the entire session. Campers participate in all the activities with their group. This continuity allows the staff to learn and address the strengths and weaknesses of each child. It also fosters camaraderie and lasting friendships within the groups so children experience social as well as physical growth.

We make every effort to put campers with friends along with any other classmates from their school. However, do not worry if your child knows no one at camp. Since he/she will be in the same group, everyday, with the same kids and the same counselors, it will be easy to make new friends!

Groups are not co-ed though co-ed activities such as Capture the Flag, dodgeball, soccer tournaments, basketball tournaments, tennis tournaments and a variety of Olympic Week events are scheduled.

Each group participates in 5-6 different activities each day.

You can count on us to follow the State of California Public Health and the County of Santa Clara guidelines for the operation of our summer camp.

Great care is given to ensure that the daily schedule and the level of play and instruction is appropriate for each age group. The daily schedule is slightly more rigorous for older campers. Our younger campers have more time scheduled indoors and in the shade.

Extended Care runs from 8:00 am - 8:45 am and again from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Most day camps offer extended care but charge a flat fee in advance for the session, whether or not the time paid for is fully used. To save you money we break down each hour into 15 minute increments and bill accordingly so that your cost more closely reflects your actual level of use. (Cost is $4.00 per 15 minute increment per child). You only pay for the service if you use it! Invoices are sent at the end of the session. No need to send in extended care payment of any kind until then.

Amazing staff, well run. My kids typically complain about going to camp but they loved this one!
