theCoderSchool, Silicon Valley's #1 Kids Coding School, is now in Las Vegas! We combine a super-small ratio and an individualized immersion teaching style with our experienced Code Coaches®!
Hi! We are Noel, and Danielle Mateo, co-owners of theCoderSchool Las Vegas and we are super excited to teach Las Vegas kids how to code!
Danielle is an educator with the Clark County School District where she teaches computer science, web design, and business software applications, and is also an adjunct information systems instructor at Nevada State College. Danielle was the Las Vegas winner of the 2018 National Center for Women in Technology Educator Award and is a member of the Clark County School District Information Technology Advisory Committee. She took her first BASIC and Pascal coding classes as a high school student in Hawaii and has loved technology ever since. Noel is a corporate meeting and event consultant and being in the hospitality industry for years, loves taking care of people! Before becoming a corporate event consultant, he did some computer programming in Hawaii, taking his first coding classes in COBOL and Fortran as a student at the University of Hawaii.
Noel and Danielle along with their two children, Alexandra and Michael, moved to Las Vegas from The Big Island of Hawaii 16 years ago. Both their son Michael and their daughter, Alexandra, graduated from Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. Alexandra recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine, and Michael is a sophomore at the University of Nevada, Reno. Since Noel and Danielle raised their two children in the Las Vegas Valley, they have a strong bond with the community. They want to give something back to Las Vegas now that their children are grown, so they teamed up with Silicon Valley’s number one children’s coding school, to open the first theCoderSchool location in Las Vegas!
