Lion's Heart - Teen Volunteers and Leaders does not have upcoming sessions on ActivityHero right now. We can send you an email when they do.
Teens want to give back to their communities, but often don't know how to get started. Lion's Heart makes it easy for students in middle and high school to volunteer in their communities.
We work with local non-profits to find student-friendly volunteer projects throughout the year, notify students and provide social and leadership development. Lion's Heart exposes students to a variety of causes and charities, and lets teens choose projects that are meaningful to them.
Members have access to our Teen Volunteer Platform to track hours for school, National Honor Society, and to build their own Volunteer Digital Portfolio for college, scholarship, internship or job applications. Students can earn the President's Volunteer Service Award and get access to community-service college scholarships.
There is a $65 one-time enrollment fee, and $84 annual dues. Lion's Heart is a 501(c)(3) so all costs are tax-deductible. Parent involvement is welcomed but not required.
Teens are assigned to a group of 3-20 teens of the same gender and grade if they choose to belong to a group. Students may also volunteer individually. All staff Members and Class Coordinators pass a background check.
Lion's Heart Members can earn awards and qualify for college scholarship. Lion's Heart is a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award. We offer a leadership-based Torchbearer Award and Golden Lion Award.
