About
Spark Math

Hello Families!
Welcome to Spark Math, a place for children to master mathematics in their own unique ways. Here at Spark Math, we provide crucial opportunities for K-5 students to grow as learners. Our curriculum uses Singapore standards and focuses on using the CPA (Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract) approach to help students understand and master math concepts. Your child can expect an academically safe and engaging learning experience where they are able to interact with their teacher and other students. The live class sessions are twice a week, 45 minutes each, and set at a time that best fits your family's schedule. All of our teachers are very experienced and are based in the United States. This means that many of our classes are run in the evenings, after your child's daytime school session. We also provide students with activities that they complete after the live sessions as homework. We are very accommodating to students of all learning levels and hope to make learning math a fun!

Our Staff

Currently we have 10 part-time teachers and 4 lead teachers. Collectively they have 104 years of teaching experience with elementary, middle and high schoolers, and 60% of the team hold a Master’s Degree and Ph.D. Degree in education and math. Professional development sessions are held on a monthly cadence. Topics are selected based on feedback from the team. Some examples of professional development topics include differentiation in the virtual classroom and strategies to engage students in reasoning and application.

It is a wonderful program. My kids are loving it, all the characters and animation. It is a rare case that my kids are actually asking for the next class. Highly recommend Mr Alex as the teacher, who is super caring and engaging in the class

The class itself was very engaging. My son didn't even want to leave when I told him that we need to run. The teacher is nice and very energetic. My son felt it was very interesting to learn some new tricks to do math. However, it is only a trial class. can't say more.
