Overview

Student-Teacher Ratio 6:1

MLK had a dream to make the world a better place. In today's camp, we will focus on Building a Better World - through Robotics! Campers are challenged to think critically about the world around them. As students identify problems, they will think creatively about how they can use technology to inspire change. Through a series of games, LEGO mosaics, engineering challenges, and lots of laughs, students will end the day with a new Robotic that aims to make the world a better place.

We all have a dream - What's Yours?

What Students Will Learn:

  • Computer Skills: Building a Better World takes advantage of easy-to-use computer software to build and program their revolutionary creations. Your child will learn the fundamentals of programming while navigating through programming instructions to make their inventions come alive.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Students will work in groups to create robotic models that help to better the world. When building without instructions, children are challenged to think creatively both on a large and small scale. As they brainstorm the purpose of their model and troubleshoot building issues, they will practice crucial problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Teamwork/Partner Skills: Nobody can create great music without great teamwork, and at Snapology we highlight those same principles in our classroom. We Small groups and peer partners are key components of Snapology’s classroom approach. We emphasize positive teamwork skills in our programs and diligently work to develop healthy, respectful collaborations between students. Through group planning, sharing of materials, and fun partner experiences, students become more cognizant of how to interact with their peers in a respectful and productive way.

It was Great! My 6-year old really enjoyed the dragon lego class. Personally I wish they would have taught the kids how to build a dragon too, not just free build their own, but the kids still enjoyed themselves. Thank you!
