About
Silicon Valley Chess Kids

Silicon Valley Chess Kids is a premier chess academy founded by Viktor, a passionate chess player from Russia, with a mission to provide high-quality chess instruction for children in the Bay Area

We believe that chess is not just a game but a tool for developing critical life skills, including problem-solving, strategic thinking, patience, and perseverance. We offer weekend chess classes in Palo Alto and Cupertino, with small group sizes to ensure personalized attention.

Classes are organized into three skill levels: Newbies, Beginners, and Intermediate, allowing students to learn at their own pace. Our small class size, limited to just 8 students per group, fosters a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child feels encouraged to participate and grow.

At Silicon Valley Chess Kids, our teaching philosophy is rooted in the idea that learning chess should be both fun and educational. We use interactive lessons, puzzles, and practice games to keep kids engaged while helping them sharpen their chess skills. Beyond learning chess, we focus on helping kids socialize, build friendships, and enjoy the process of learning.
