At Royal Ridge and Serenity Equestrian Centers, we always envisioned building a horse facility that provides all the amenities desired by every horse person. We are committed to keeping the horses and riders happy. The manager, owner and head trainer, Emily Richards, strives to meet every need of the horse and rider.
This facility was designed to provide a safe, comfortable and accessible environment for you and your horse. The property is gated with an on site manager. There are over 100 stalls, several riding arenas (multiple lighted arenas), round pens and numerous trails. We offer a wide variety of stabling options (see boarding). Riding arenas are kept well groomed to provide a rewarding experience.
The trails on site encircle the property and have a variety of terrains, providing a great place to warm-up, cool-down, gallop, condition, or just relax. The Arenas have sprinklers. Barns offer large breezeways and stalls are cleaned daily. Horses are fed high quality bermuda or alfalfa hay.
Emily Richards, having trained with and worked for some of the top trainers in the horse world before beginning her own career, Emily is well versed in many different disciplines of training including hunter/ jumper, western pleasure, edurance/trail training, dressage, reining, natural horsemanship and more. She began her horse training career working with various top trainers in Southern California. After getting her feet wet in the show arena it was time to move on to bigger and better opportunities and really learn about training horses from the ground up. She received her most invaluable job at a racing facility in Fallbrook, CA where she trained, rehabilitated, and managed over 100 horses for multiple years. She worked with some real "cowboys and cowgirls" and learned some great training techniques to help problematic and traumatized horses regain their confidence after their racing careers were over. After working with some of her most difficult and sensitive cases she began her own training and education program now located at Serenity Equestrian Center in Poway, CA.
