Rice Lake Swimming Pool

My kids take lessons every summer and it’s always a great experience for them!

I love the swimming lesson teachers at rice lake. They are so kind to my 4 & 6 y.o who wanted to come back every day. We went 1 season at BACC & they were awful. Glad to be back at rice lake.

Lessons went great. I was very disappointed that July 5th was canceled. We paid the same amount for lessons and already knew the 4th was a loss. If less kids were still coming in the 5th they should have just benefited from more time and attention with instructors.

I'm thankful lessons are offered in my area and the staff is great. I would like to see more instructions for the kids and time used more wisely, so they don't have to stay in a group for multiple years. Often the kids are just standing or bobbing around.

Lessons were good for my 4 year old. She had fun and learned a lot. Only thing I would suggest is break them up to smaller groups so they get more time learning. Or have more instructors in the water working with them. I feel that she sat on the edge of the pool too long some days.

Excellent instructor he improved 100% in 2 weeks. Courtney worked with each kid independently.

Very well organized. They give each child the attention needed. Facilities are excellent. Very impressed.

Absolutely appalling! My child was in a small group of 4, which was nice, but after the 1st day the instructor completely ignored my child and one other to solely focus on the remaining 2 children who already knew how to swim! I even had to personally wait by my child and ask if she could have a turn with trying a skill.

My son’s instructor was awesome! He isn’t the most trusting when he is nervous about things, but he trusted her and grew so much this round!

Great place for swimming lessons, does well with little ones.

My son loves coming here for swimming lessons. Everyone is very friendly and patient.

I love that I can get my children into swimming lessons fairly easily and at a low cost. Water safety is a very important thing for our family and my children love swimming. Gideon's teacher was great! I loved watching him improve/practice skills each day.

It is a well organized program that involves getting to know people in the community better. My child always learns a lot about swimming and enjoys her teachers.

Highly recommend. We drive from 30 minutes away for our kids to participate in these swimming lessons. The instruction is personalized and focuses on their abilities. The instructors are wonderful with the children.

Small group sizes give the kids plenty of individual instruction. The instructors are all very good with the kids. The facility is very nice and well kept.

All the instructors are always so great with the kids. So glad they have this program to help our little ones learn this essential skill!

It is such an asset to have in the community. Great place for kids to go for exercise and making friends.

We loved watching our children learn, and the progress that was made. Our swim instructors were wonderful. Our only negative is the temp of the pool, our children struggled to enjoy swimming lessons, and never wanted to go back because of how cold the pool is.

Some teachers are much better than others which an make or break it for the kids.

My daughter absolutely loved swimming this time. The teacher was amazing! She seemed to learn a lot in a short period of time. The only thing I recommend is having more lessons through out the year:)

Highly recommend!! We go here for swimming lessons, have been for 5 years now. They're so great, my son started off being terrified of swimming to now he's a great swimmer and knows several different strokes.

Unlike other summers, Wyatt was excited about swimming this summer. I don’t know if it was because of his maturity or an excellent teacher. He passed level 2 after only one session. Previous level 1 took three sessions.

Rice Lake Swimming Pool offered lessons to my two daughters (four and five years old). The group sizes were small; no more than four swimmers to one lifeguard. The lifeguards were very patient, kind and did a great job getting to know the kids to make them feel comfortable with the water and teacher. The lessons were very engaging where the kids were able to use various swimming devices to keep them interested and excited. Every lesson ended with "choice time." If there was ever a problem, the supervisor, Tess, was always around to help. The Rice Lake Swimming Pool does a great job. Very satisfied and will continue to send my children.

It was great bonding time for parent and a young child. The instructor was amazing!

My granddaughters enjoyed and learned a lot during their swimming lessons at the Rice Lake pool. The downside, though, is that you have to sign up for lessons every week day for two weeks. We only did two weeks because they would have missed half the classes of each of the future sessions. Lessons 2-3 times/week or one week at a time would've worked better for us.

The lessons are great. Classes are age-related and skill builders!!

The class was much bigger than I expected (30+ kids). It gave my daughter some great experiences in the water and we learned some good information- but it felt like more of an open swim as opposed to lessons. Personally I would have preferred a smaller class- but that was just my preference.

The swim sessions are very well run and the teachers are great. Class sizes are good and safety is heavily emphasized.

The swim lessons are very well organized and each child gets sufficient individual attention from the instructor to improve his/her skills at the individual's pace. I also like the fact that the child is not passed on to a higher level until a certain skill level is reached so the higher level classes can concentrate on developing new skills. I feel the program has excellent
instructors and the program is very professionally conducted.

Our grand kids Fynn, Tuesday and Greyson Schroeder all took swim lessons from the Rice Lake pool and we're so happy with the results. They all loved going each morning and the teaching staff led by Tess were so welcoming. Loved the small class size. already asking about next years lessons.

I was very impressed this the lifeguard instructors this time around. They were very good with little kids and I was amazed my 6 year old went from very scared of water to going underwater and actually swimming with no lifejacket. I almost cried. Highly recommend.

This has been a long time favorite as I remember going to the pool as a child and now I’m bringing our children. Great place!

We did the February /March swim lessons and the instructor was awesome. Got the kids attention and worked with them in a fun energetic environment! Highly recommended that if you want swim lessons for your child, Rice Lake is the place to go.
