Looking for a summer camp that’s fun, creative, and actually teaches real-world skills? Rex K-12 & IU1's virtual Summer Coding & Design Camp is the perfect choice for young learners who love technology, storytelling, or hands-on activities. Designed for students in grades 3–8, this engaging camp offers age-specific sessions that introduce students to foundational skills in coding, animation, game development, and web design.

Each grade band has a unique offering tailored to their learning level:

• Grades 3–5 can choose between Animations & Design, where they’ll bring characters and stories to life, and 2D Game Programming, where they’ll learn to build interactive games using beginner-friendly platforms.

• Grades 6–8 can choose from Intro to Web Design, where they’ll build and style websites using HTML and CSS, or Digital Graphics, where they’ll create logos, posters, and more while learning core design principles.

Each session is led by experienced instructors who make learning fun and accessible, no matter the student’s background or skill level. Campers will work through structured lessons, interactive challenges, and creative projects — all designed to build confidence, foster collaboration, and spark a love for technology.

Camp Schedule: June 16-20, 2025

Morning Sessions (9:30 AM – 11:30 AM CST)

• Grades 6-8: Digital Graphics

• Grades 3–5: Animations & Design

Afternoon Sessions (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM CST):

• Grades 3–5: 2D Game Programming

• Grades 6–8: Intro to Web Design

  
  

Camp Details:

• Location: Intermediate Unit 1 Headquarters (One Intermediate Unit Drive Coal Center, PA 15423)

• Cost: $250 per session

• Enrollment: Minimum 5, Maximum 15 per session

• Lunch: Not provided — students attending both a morning and afternoon session should bring a sack lunch
