Puget Sounds Piano School

Puget Sounds Piano School is located in the historic Mercantile building in downtown Issaquah.  Students and parents alike enjoy the high ceilings and natural light provided by our large windows.  Puget Sounds has seven teaching studios, each equipped with an excellent acoustic piano on which lessons primarily take place, as well as several digital pianos used for group lessons.  Since the pandemic, Puget Sounds also offers virtual piano lessons as well.

Director and Instructor Shannon Keeler founded Puget Sounds Piano School back in 1999 after years of playing and teaching the piano.  She opened the school in a tiny, two-room office on Maple Street, and had almost 80 students in less than three months.  Over the years, Puget Sounds has grown, but only when an instructor with the right teaching style, experience and education is ready to join.

Puget Sounds Piano is unique in that we focus on all aspects of music making: reproducing timeless masterpieces, composing, improvisation, notation reading, arranging, ensemble playing and music theory are all part of our curriculum.  This prepares our students to make music in any setting they want in the future, and gives us long retention rate with our students- our students LOVE making music.
