Overview

Cover some serious ground during this epic eight-day adventure!

This small-group outdoor adventure departs from DFW Airport. We’ll cross the Golden Gate Bridge, stand amongst some of the tallest trees on earth in the Redwood National Forest, explore the remote “Lost Coast” beaches of Northern California and Southern Oregon, and chase waterfalls outside of Portland. We’ll fly into San Francisco, travel up the California coast by luxury charter bus, and board the famous “Coast Starlight” Amtrak train to make our way to Portland, our final destination on this incredible journey.

Know Before You Go:

This trip is all-inclusive and covers everything you'll need on your journey - airfare, lodging, all meals and snacks, and activities!
We'll host a pre-trip meeting for youth and parents on May 6 (session I) and July 20 (session II).
Trip insurance is required and purchased as a group to cover each individual on the trip. The final amount is determined by the total number of participants and will be billed separately. The average cost is $83 per person.

Itinerary

Day One: Fly as a group from DFW Airport to San Francisco. Check into your hotel and head to Ocean Beach for a picnic and an incredible view of the sunset.

Day Two: Start the morning with a breathtaking walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. Eat lunch by the bay in Sausalito before heading to the infamous Museum of Ice Cream! We'll end the day exploring Fisherman's Wharf and snapping some photos of the sea lion colony that calls it home.

Day Three: We'll hit the road on our luxury charter bus early in the morning. We'll drive on the scenic "The Avenue of the Giants" and stop for some hiking in Redwood National Forest. After a well earned pizza dinner, we'll get some rest at the Beachfront Inn in the coastal town of Brookings, Oregon.

Day Four: There's no better way to start off the day than some beachfront yoga and meditation. After a relaxing morning, we'll go tidepooling on a coastal hike with incredible views. We'll jump back on our charter bus and head to our hotel in Klamath Falls.

Day Five: Today is all about adventure. We'll zip-line through ancient forests and kayak in the crystal-clear, blue waters of Spring Creek before returning to our hotel.

Day Six: Ready to take a ride on one of the most spectacular train routes in the United States? We'll get up early and board the Coast Starlight Amtrak train. Get ready for some incredible views from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the observation car! The train will take us to Portland, our final destination.

Day Seven: It's waterfall day! We'll head to Multnomah Falls and Gorge Waterfalls right outside of Portland. We'll do a little hiking and head back to the city to explore the famous Rose Test Gardens and take a ride on the Portland Aerial Tram. We'll eat our final dinner together on a dinner cruise on the Willamette River.

Day Eight: All good things must come to an end. We'll reflect on our journey in a closing ceremony in one of Portland's most beautiful parks before heading to the airport. We'll meet parents at the baggage claim area and hug goodbye... until our next adventure!
