Student-Teacher Ratio 4:1
Our programs are unlike any other! With an *unheard of* 4:1 student teacher ratio, students who take part in our program will receive individualized attention to support them in becoming the best they can be!
Our programs are designed to help kids understand where their food comes from, while also supporting all of their critical milestones. Special care is given to meet each child where they are, and all sessions are taught by a highly experienced farmer-teacher team, to ensure your child gets the absolute best experience at the farm.
Our programming will interact with all aspects of farming, including taking care of the goats and chickens, collecting eggs, incubating eggs, tending their own garden space, learning about the greenhouses and fields, and helping with other age-appropriate chores around the farm. For example, our Owlets may practice brushing the goats, while our Farmers in Training may learn how to trim their hooves!
Outdoor, child-led free play will be a large part of our programs, to encourage peer interaction and socialization, particularly for the younger crews. Students have their own dedicated space at the farm that allows them to freely explore with out risking their safety. They are encouraged to make a mess, learn through first-hand exploration, and troubleshoot with friends. (Be sure to bring a towel at pick-up to protect your cars!)
Special focus will be given to each child's social-emotional development through tactile exploration, peer-to-peer interactions, group decision making, team activities, and encouraging self-regulation. At the end of their experience, our goal is to have your child feel more confident around farming experiences as well as other people. We want them to have the experience that many miss out on - getting back outside and learning with their hands!
