New York Society of Play

I have two kids who have done NYSOP Dungeons and Dragons (and sometimes Minecraft during camp days). This is an amazing group! They are fantastic dungeon masters, and great with the kids. My son can't wait for his Thu evening DnD session. It is completely the highlight of his week.

NY Society of Play is an amazing organization. They allow kids to form genuine relationships in a safe online environment. The kiddos get to be creative and build confidence.

My 9 year old daughter loves playing D&D in this group. She's excited to tell me about monsters they're defeating and the treasures her party is acquiring. Last game she was overjoyed to find a wand of polymorph. This is a great activity she looks forward to each week.

My son loves his twice weekly Minecraft class! The instructors are great, highly recommend.

My son has been doing Zoom Dungeons & Dragons and Minecraft with New York Society of Play throughout the pandemic and it has been a lifesaver. It is so much better for him than screen time! He is interacting with new friends, being creative, building positive relationships with caring adults who create a good structure for the activities. He is learning to share space with other kids and be collaborative. Hooray!

My 7 year old LOVED this online camp. I was really surprised that she stayed engaged for the whole time but was all hands-off time for me which is infinite stars in my book.

My 8 year old son absolutely loves the after school Minecraft workshop and looks forward to it every week! The moderators are great and ensure that the kids are having fun while adhering to acceptable behavior.

My son has been doing the Pokémon camp since this past December and he LOVES it!! It’s been a life saver during the pandemic for socialization. The staff is super nice and helpful as well. Highly recommend activities with them.

We couldn't be happier with the Holiday Game Camp. Our son loved every single activity (Minecraft, Pokemon, D&D, guild chat...), and every day at lunch time he couldn't stop raving about all the adventures he had gone through that morning. I started playing Role Playing Games when I was a teenager and was sure that it would be a great experience for him. But I never imagined how stimulating it would be for a 7 year old to play D&D at such a young age. We have already signed him up for the private D&D group and will keep an eye on any other activity that the New York Society of Play puts out there

My 9-year-olds are having a wonderful time in the virtual summer camp. They're into Pokemon but had never tried D&D before, so we weren't sure if they would be into it... Let's just say it's a hit! You can tell the staff really love what they're doing here, and it totally rubs off on the kids. My happy campers keep asking to sign up for more!

This place has been leading after school D&D which my son LOVES. Now that they’ve made a seamless transition to online D&D, both my boys (ages 10 and 12) are playing and having a great time. They’ve worked out a schedule to play with groups of friends, but you can do drop ins too. The staff is responsive, flexible and figures out how to make things work for each child.

My son LOVES playing games with New York Society of Play -- it's exciting, fun, and engaging -- would definitely recommend their programs to others.

From 8-year-old Idris: I've been doing Dungeons and Dragons virtually with 4 other friends and the host. It's really fun because you get to fight monsters every game and you get to choose your character, roll your own dice and cast spells...and get gold! The game is for 2 hours but the time really goes fast. You can stay in hotels, travel to cities, do different quests and I think this should inspire you to sign up because this camp is pretty new and you should join because the hosts are really funny and so are the other kids.
