Student-Teacher Ratio 6:1

This program is geared towards first-time speech and debaters. Coaches will teach students about the basics of public speaking and argumentation.

Students will work on writing original speeches, interpreting the work of others, and delivery skills. They will also practice structuring arguments and making logical links between claims. The morning will be focused on speech while the afternoons will focus on debate. Camp culminates in a mini-tournament on Friday.

Information about camp usually is released two-three days prior, as our school sites are usually just being cleared for summer uses. Information will include lists of what students ought to bring specifically by class level, but it's safe to assume that writing implements and a notebook will be helpful. -
