Musique Sur La Mer Orchestras
Musique Sur La Mer Youth Orchestras was founded in 2000 by music director, Marcy A. Sudock. The program was designed to uplift musical experiences for all music students, of all ages. With five levels of orchestra during the school year, a summer orchestra camp, small group and private instrumental music lessons, community service with music, leadership training, college resume building, rehearsals and concerts our students thrive with joy, inclusion and growth. . The students learn a wide range of music from Baroque and classical to pop, jazz, and world music. We identify as - MUSICIANS. Musique Sur La Mer Orchestras strives to create peace through the international language of music. We do this with musicality, ethics, joy and community.

Our Staff
All of our instructors and mentors are highly qualified musicians with music degrees. Our entire staff - instructors, mentors, interns and office staff have been thoroughly background checked and are of the highest caliber. We are all committed to making your child/teen comfortable, safe and celebrated.

Voted Absolute Best of Long Beach (Music Performance and Nonprofit Organization categories) Per- 2019, 2020, 2021 -- Awarded Commendations from the City of Long Beach, the City of Los Angeles, the City of Los Alamitos - Winner of the NAACP Collaboration Award - Certificates of Commendations from the US Senate, US Congress - Letters of praise from former President Barack Obama - Former Prime Minister of England, John Major - Winner of the Kiwanis Community Service Award - Winner of the International Youth Music Festival, Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles - Performances include: London, England in honor of the wedding of HRH Prince William & Catherine Middleton, Diamond Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II and in May, 2023, will perform in London in honor of the Double Coronation of HM King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla. We have performed in Australia (Sydney Opera House), Costa Rica (Teatro Nacional), Austria (Vienna Musikverien-Saal - Salzburg Cathedral, University, Mirabell Gardens & Salzburg Cathedral - Esienstadt - Esterhazy Palace, Haydn Concert Hall), Czech Republic (Prague), France (Paris, Cannes, Nice), Principality of Monaco Royal Cathedral. Locally we have performed concerts: Disney Concert Hall, LA - Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts - Shoreline Village Off-Boardwalk Theater - Shouting Coyote Arts Festival, Tujunga - McGaugh Auditorium, Seal Beach - and numerous local venues in and around Long Beach, CA.
