About
Moosiki Kids

Moosiki Kids interactive "grownup-and-me" style music classes for children nourishes development through music—and, now, they're online! Moosiki Kids does this through guided play, repetition of original music, music appreciation lessons of popular children’s music and child-appropriate rock music, and exposure to new sounds and rhythms. Of course, Moosiki Kids can't just leave it at music. They also mix it up by using scarves, bubbles, and other various props to go along with their music and musical exercises. Their number one goal is to let kids have fun, and by doing so, teach musically at the same time!

Our Staff

Laura Nupponen, founder of Moosiki Kids and proud mama to daughter Zuzu, began her performing career while she was sitting in the very back of the orchestra, NOT playing her violin, making faces at her father’s video camera in her elementary school music concert! She eventually went to undergraduate school at Carnegie Mellon University for her BFA in Vocal Performance, and later moved on to Columbia University to receive her MFA in Acting. Before becoming a music teacher for infants and toddlers, Laura performed in various places such as the Edinborough Fringe Festival in Edinborough, Scotland, the Mirang Theater Festival in Seoul, South Korea, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. After Laura had been teaching babies and young children at various studios for years, parents eagerly encouraged her to create her own classes!
