About
Menlo Chinese School
At Menlo Chinese School we believe the most effective way for children to learn Chinese is by sparking their natural curiosity, and by encouraging the practical application of language in everyday situations. In the past, I have had the opportunity to create and run many exciting educational programs including the after-school program in Menlo Park. While it has been a real joy and honor to have laughed with our students and to watch them grow and learn, I have heard many families voice concerns around the struggle to find developmentally appropriate programs for their children. Through my conversations with these families, I began to see that there is still room for high-quality Chinese language instruction in the Bay Area, especially in the Menlo Park-Atherton area. After having met and worked with many families, I came to better understand and appreciate their needs and goals for their children. These conversations made me even more excited and passionate about Chinese language education and helped me to recognize the potential for a thriving Chinese learning community here. It is because of the deep sense of responsibility that I feel to our students and families that I have founded Menlo Chinese School as natural progression of the previous programs established in the area. An educational space in which students can learn at their own pace with fun and inspiring projects, Menlo Chinese School strives to develop in young learners a passion for learning and the confidence they will need as they move forward in their academic lives.
