Maya Carina

Maya Carina offers music camps, workshops and classes in Oakland, California.  First we discuss empowering subjects then we write in a stream of conscious style about the empowering subjects, then we combine our writings into a song.

We write the music and record our vocals over the music  in pairs and create a collective logo for our song.  We have the option of performing our empowering song by the end of the week.  Every child gets a finished product.  A song that they can share with family and friends 

The main idea is to create positive mindset that can be recalled through song during difficult life situations.  I think of these songs as preventative measures to combat  vulnerable situations before they become unmanageable.  Our kids know their internal power!
