At Camp Sofos (formerly called Math Enrichment), we’re all about summer adventures that keep your brain buzzing! Our English/Math Combo Classes are a total win-win, helping students master Common Core Standards while getting a head start on the next school year. From Kindergarten through Grade 8, we’ll cover key concepts that’ll make your child feel like a super-smart superstar come August!
We aim to reinforce skills learned in the past year while preparing students for success in the upcoming year by following a teaching model that is in direct alignment with California Common Core Standards.
Our English/Math Combo Classes will focus on key curriculum concepts during the summer program. Our goal is to provide a jump start or preview of material your child will be learning the coming school year. If your child needs to review concepts in their current grade, please keep them in their current grade level in school this year. If you feel your child is advanced, they can register for a higher grade level. For example, if your child is in 2nd grade and you feel 4th grade is a better fit, please register for 4th grade. We want the best fit for each child and can improve their skill level this summer.
While the main goal is to provide each child with a rigorous, fulfilling scholastic experience, all students will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of recreational activities throughout the summer, including:
- Pickleball
- STEAM Actvities
- Field trips to movie theater, amusement park, and other fun places!
Camp Soros / Math Enrichment is accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the premier accreditation organization in the Western United States. Classes are taught by California Credentialed Teachers.
After School Program from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. $10.00 per hour or prepay for the entire program to get a 20% discount. If you only need after-school for certain days, you do not need to register in advance. Math Enrichment will bill parents $2.50 every 15 minutes for the after-school program if you do not pre-pay.
