Traditional Shotokan Karate as taught by (Hidetaka) Nishiyama sensei. Classes for all levels, for Men, Women and Children. The best family package. Summer Camps that fun, educational and lots of well balanced exercise. Combining Studio time and beach time.

Over 50 years of experience.

He began his Karate practice in 1971 at the age of 10 in Glendale, California, USA. Studied under the top instructors of Nishiyama Sensei. 


[Nishiyama Sensei (1928 - 2008) was the top Japanese Karate Instructor who taught the top instructors in Japan in the 1950's. Head instructor at the Japan Karate Association. A top student of Shotokan Karate founder Ginchin Funakoshi. Then Nishiyama Sensei moved to the United States in 1961 to build a global Karate Association]

Then in 1981 studied directly under Nishiyama Sensei. For almost 30 years From 1981 to the last class held at Central Dojo August 31st 2008 he has been a fixture at Central Dojo under the guidance of Hidetaka Nishiyama Sensei. Only a couple and maybe only a few have spent more floor time with sensei.

He served his teaching apprenticeship in Palos Verdes Estates, California, teaching for 3 years at Peninsula Karate Club for John Habura, ending in 1995. This time included summer Karate programs at prestigious Chadwick Prep and Rolling Hills Prep.

Now teaching in Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach since 1997.
