At Los Encinos School we see each child as an individual. Our small student population (one class per grade) allows us the luxury of teaching to the whole child and giving each child what they need to reach their potential.
Our small size allows us to remain a close-knit community. We know each other and support each other, academically, emotionally, physically, and socially.
We value childhood. Being a K-6 school puts the sixth-graders in the position of leadership, instilling the students with confidence and experience as role models before they face the pressures of a more mature school environment. In all my years as head of school, my primary task has been making sure the children receive a well-rounded education, without sacrificing childhood.
Summer Camp Los Encinos runs 7 weeks for all kids entering 1st grade through 6th grade.
The Los Encinos faculty and staff fully integrate our humanities by relating art, drama, music, physical education, service learning, and technology lessons to topics both inside and outside the classroom. We are a community that embraces and celebrates the liveliness of diversity, uniqueness, and the pursuit of academic excellence. Accredited by NAIS, CAIS and WASC.
