About
Los Angeles Elite Basketball

Los Angeles Elite was formed in 2013 with the goal to prepare our players for the next level. We aren't just preparing these young men and women for basketball, but life as well.

Our focus is to help our players have fun, learn the game of basketball the correct way, and learn life lessons from the sport we all love and apply it to everyday life! We strive to help all of the young men and women in our program become better leaders for the future. If we teach our youth to be committed, discipline, and always give their all, we have done our job.

Our Staff

Coach Russel Payne

Basketball has been the heartbeat for Coach Payne since he was little. He startedplaying at the age of four and from there his love for the game grew. Coach Payne started to play AAU basketball for TMG/ARC under Frank Boyd in 6th grade and was exposed to what basketball is truly all about; hard work, discipline, focus, and fundamentals.

Coach Boyd encouraged his team to use these qualities off the court as well and now Coach Payne has embraced these teaching for LA Elite. TMG finished 1st in the state of California from 2004-2006 and the team attended two AAU Division 2 National Championships in 2005 & 2006. Russell played with ARC his last year in middle school. This team was again ranked #1 in the state. He attended El Segundo High School for two years in which he made Varsity as a freshman and sophomore before transferring to Redondo Union High School to finish off his career.
