Parents, be aware and do not send your kids. I literately had to take my 9 year old son out two days into a week-long camp, the environment of this camp is terrible. 7 or 8 schools age kids and two adults trapped into a room that looks smaller than my kids' bedroom for a full day from 9am to 4pm, no AC in a hot summer, there were only fans and a small window. The camp is located near downtown San Jose in an old small building with no parking. Kids are only allowed for a 30 min lunch break and bathroom breaks if needed (glad that is considered) for a whole day. I don't know the quality of the instructors but the condition of this place is run like a sweat shop. After speaking to the owner Mr. Joseph, he got super defensive and start pulling random kids to question them and ask them to tell me they are fine and happy. I can tell from my son that he is not happy and beg me not to go the second day morning. The owner told me that this is an academic camp and not supposed to be fun. I was not looking for a fun camp but expect the environment to be at least safe and healthy for $500 week-long camp with no lunch or snack provided. The owner said he is not money driven and have never had dissatisfied parents which I don't believe. I would not want any other kids to suffer in a condition like that. If you are looking for speech and writing camp, look somewhere else. There are plenty of choices in the bay area.
