Hello Parent,
Thank you for your feedback. On the first day, an hour before the camp started you called us and asked us about our refund policy (We can show you the proof). We notified you that we cannot offer you a refund as the camp was to start in an hour (this was a policy you were aware of before the camp started), but we can switch your son to the same camp at a later date. But you insisted on getting the refund. In retrospect that is where your dissatisfaction started. Finally, you showed up to the camp on first day saw our room. Neither was it dark, nor was it tiny (Parents are welcome to have a look to see for themselves that your claim is not true). There are three fans running in the room which we showed you. For a small batch of 6 kids 3 fans are more than enough.
You claimed that we only gave the children a 30 minutes break. This is a huge misunderstanding and a gross exaggeration. Our lunch break is one hour, 12 pm-1:00 pm. And we also give them 30 minutes break in between in the morning and in the afternoon in addition to the lunch break (which is more than most schools give). You also claimed that you don't know about our instructors. That is a little confusing since you yourself reported to us that your son enjoyed the instructors and the classes, when you brought him back for the second day. Our instructors are college professors, elementary school teachers and award-winning instructors.
Then yesterday your complained that kids are allowed to play only two to three games, to which we responded that it's a public speaking and creative writing camp (academic enrichment camp) while we make it fun through games and activities, games are not the goal of the camp. As parents bring their students here for their academic growth, our priority is always their growth in academic skills. No child has ever claimed that our camp was not fun. (You are welcome to confirm this with all our previous students and even watch their video reviews on our YouTube channel). Every day at camp they do play a minimum of 4 games and activities. Most of our kids are returning students. We find it hard to believe that if our class was truly as you claim that so many student would return multiple times to our camps and classes.
Finally, every business has to market themselves that's not a crime. Most of our parents come to us through word of mouth. We don't market our classes often as we are a small business. We only post our students progress on our Facebook pages. It is very evident to us from your communication that you had already decided on somehow getting a refund. We were very patient with you, even when you decided to scream in our hallways threatening us of posting bad reviews on yelp. We refuse to fold under such threats. We refuse to give you a full refund since your child already attended two full day sessions with us. Despite our refund policy that you did not comply by, we issued you a partial refund, only since you are our first dissatisfied customer. In the 2+ years that we have been in operation, you are our first unhappy client. We know that is hard for you to believe, since you had already made up your mind on getting a refund even before you gave us a chance. We are disappointed that you have decided to misrepresent the events that transpired. We hope you find what you are looking for. All the best to you.
