JCPenney Kid Zone

My daughter enjoys these craft ones. They are very cool. The way JCPenney does it varies but it’s always cool to do the craft regardless. Fun!

The crafts were great but they didn’t have a workshop. JC Penny said they don’t do the workshops anymore.

It was fun and my girls enjoyed doing the crafts. We look forward to go again another time

I love it! I always have my 10 year old nephew and or 7 year old niece. I actually do tell everybody when I'm at the store. The manager has heard me doing this and gave me a $10 gift card for always "promoting" it to people walking by. We've been going every month since January. Never a problem.

After registering for the event, we were informed the store only received 40 kits and the event ended at 11:30 even though the website and sign at the front of the store said it ended at 12. Kids were disappointed and no craft was completed.

First time attending. Something small for the kids to do. There were a few downs about this event. Event was to start at 11, didn’t start till 11:20 because not only did they arrive late but also needed time to setup the table. The lady standing at the didn’t seem to know what to do. There were a few things that she was giving out, but not all kids got the same choices. Some were asked if they wanted the pin or crayon while others just watched and wasn’t asked. It was not that busy, so she could of made sure all kids were given the same care.

It was simple and fast we didn’t even sit down. My two sons and I went to the designated area and were given and 10% off coupon and the art kit,lanyard and lapel pin. We were in and out after I did some shopping of course!

I wasn't to happy with JCPenny when we arrived they didn't have anything set up and when they finally brought the stuff out the just handed it to me. They had no table for the kids to do the activity. I was disappointed being it was our first activity with them. We ended up doing our activity at the mall food court.

It was great just that some employees there didn’t know what I was talking about until they called a manager

I read all the reviews and it truly suddens me to see that Kid’s Zone was not always fun for your kids. I happened to be the new Customer Services Leader for Owasso store and Kid’s Zone Events are my responsibility and privilege to do! I did only 6 events so far but my vision for this short, free activity for kids is entirely different then anybody’s before me. As I talk to parents , I explain to them that I would love to create a safe , friendly and fun environment for kids, where they can meet other kids outside they usual places like schools, churches etc. Majority of the kids that attended my Kid’s Zone Events I know by the first name. I see kids that struggle to connect with others and those that extend a helping hand every time somebody needs some help. It is amazing how simple and pure kids are!!! You do not ever need to second guess what they think , they just tell you!!!! I would love to re- invite you to visit my JCPenney in Owasso next month and see what I planned for kids. Costumes and props in my free time, to make it an experience for your children! I helped them learn their first stitch, made the first wind chime or helped them decorate their first Valentine’s card! I was a princess, Mrs Claus And a leprechaun today, I put leprechaun’s foot prints all over my store for your little ones to follow until they find the Kid’s Zone and I love every bit of it! Please come re- visit us on April the 8 th! I heard Easter bunny and his family will be there to play with kids and for a free photo opportunities! It was a quick process and my child loved the idea that it’s a portable jenga blocks. Convenient to bring anywhere to ease the boredom.

A little dificult for a 4 year old but he had a lot of fun.

I don’t know why they call it Creative art project, and say that it going to be craft and fun. I was expecting it would be a craft class in the store. My kids were excited to go, but when we asked cashier where is the class, she pointed to a desk with free stuff. It is just a pack of supplies like you get in Burger king or McDonalds and some JCP brand logo items. I feel like I was tricked to get into this store. Had to buy something, because kids were crying. Btw they give 10% discount coupon. However even with discounts their products are so overpriced. Some of clothes are from target. Not worth it.

I’m a parent of 4 kids. I absolutely would recommend that if you like shopping take your kids to JCPenney kid zone once a month and get 10% discount that day. Not only you get your shopping but your kids with have fun learning as well. The activity is different each month. Something new and different! My kids enjoys the kid zone we call it the Family Zone. Another way to get Daddy involved too. Did I mention it’s Free?

WE love attending kid zone activities I’ve been taking my granddaughter since she was 2Yrs and only missed 1x due to her being in the hospital she’s now 6yrs and keeps asking when can we go again. She misses the fun I wish there was a way for her to still receive the project in the mail during thIs shut down time

It was our first time participating at the kid zone craft event at JCPenney Kid Zone and my two children were in awe of how fun it was. I as a parent was so impressed with how fast the employees got the line to move and how they helped all the children with genuine smiles and care in their voices. I’m just bummed I didn’t know about this years ago!! We will definitely be coming back. My littles are excited to earn all 6 pins! Thank you JCP for having this free event for the children of Bakersfield. You are inspiring many children and changing lives!

The T-shirt activity was well organized and the materials were quality. Looking forward to the next activity.

My son had fun making his christmas shirt. We will be back next month for the next activity.

Our kids had an awesome time creating shirts and decorating them. Everything was ready for them and easy to do.

We had a great time, their shirts turned out so cute! Would definitely recommend to friends! A fun Christmas activity that was FREE!!

I hold in reserve any expectations that I have for free events but this events took the cake for underwhelming.
We were mistakenly under the impression that there might be an area (perhaps with tables and kids/adults in the area) for the children to do crafts on site at the store. In the Owasso location, there was but a roped off area to get in line (of which there was no line); we were not asked if we registered (so that was a total waste of time) but instead the kids were handed a crackly cellophane sac, wrapping array of Knick knacks and some goodies off one small table and told thank you as we were given coupons only good for that day. The young lady handing out the bags told us usually there are pins that go on a lanyard but they didn't have any this time...surprise.
So, off we left- back home. There was no "making new friends or doing a craft"- the entire process was makeshift at best. I sure hope the one next month has more to offer; otherwise I can't see any reason to sign the kids up for any future events.
It was most unmemorable and the kids were very disappointed. It took all of 5 minutes. Apart from a decent lanyard and a metallic thing to hang from it; they pretty much just got a bag of junk and a back sac to color at home.

The Frozen kit of a "drawstring backpack" and character pins was generously given. We were the last to receive (about 11:20 ish). Apparently they have a set number (25?) that they give out and then that is all. The small table for coloring was packed so we took our kit and walked through the cool toy section. They also gave us coupons.

Overall it was great! The staff were friendly and welcoming. But the cashiers weren't aware of the event, they tried to send us upstairs, although the table was set up 10ft from them.

Well it was kind of pitiful . All we did was stop by and told to choose the items then we left. The girl attendant was also a store cashier so she was busy and there were no other kids so it's not really an event. You just drop in and grab your craft item and go. My daughter liked the craft . we sat out in the mall and put it together so I guess it's nice that the craft is free but there's not much to it. We won't go again I doubt.

I'm not sure what happened at this location but the art workshop was not set up when we got there. Phone calls were made when we inquired about the workshop and we were told that they were in the process of setting up the event. My daughter and I shopped around for a least 20 minutes before a store associate walked up to us and told us it was a "grab and go" event. She gave us a pair of shades with princess stickers. This was not what was advertised and we were expecting a sit down event where my daughter could create the craft to bring home.

My grandkids had a great time and really enjoyed making the crafts. Thank you!
