Innovation for Youth

My son participated in the Sci Fi summer camp. He had a great time and learned new skills. The camp was super engaging with everything from stop animation and green screen to making smoke circles. The instructors really adapted to the interest and engagement of the students. It was one of my son's favorite camps this summer!

Highly recommend the camp for learning and having fun! My son 7yr old loves the Sci-Fi camp he was attending last week and he had so much joy playing in the camp. He asked me wether he can return next year.

My Girl Scout troop of 6 girls signed up for a Sunday morning session. I really liked seeing a class for girls led by a high school girl who is a great STEM instructor. It made me happy to see girls own that space for other girls. Please keep doing what you are doing!

My two daughters (ages 6 and 10) have been attending the STEM virtual classes on Sundays and look forward to it every week. They like the core information they are taught (whether it's about Margaret Knight the inventor or what a pulley is) and then they enjoy the hands on activity and the opportunity to share and learn from each other. The instructors are very patient, kind, and inviting and allow a very open opportunity to learn and try again.

This is an activity my daughter enjoyed while not knowing that it was a part of STEM. The instructions provided are clear and concise and clarifications are provided along the way so as to resolve any issue that kids might face. Mr.Gluckman is really helpful at sending out materials on time and is willing to accommodate any changes for future classes. He also sends us updates about future classes. He is very helpful and without any expectation, all he wants is our kids to progress well.

My daughter really enjoyed this art class. Small class size. Nice instruction.

In the words of my daughter - “Anok is amazing! She’s sooooo good at art!” Our daughter learned a lot in her class and couldn’t stop raving about her experience and has already made multiple self-portraits with the techniques she learned from Anok. We have already registered her for another one of Anok’s classes!

It was one of the most fun week in his entire 2020 summer vacation!! My son enjoyed the 1 week online magic camp. He learned some of the tricks and keeps showing it to his cousins virtually including grandparents. It was so nice to see him doing the tricks. Also, he taught his younger cousins. He enjoyed the camp and it was very well organized.

My son loved it, and wants it to continue this week! He’s sad that it’s over... :(

Happy time with Art !! I recommend this class. It’s great class with totally wonderful teacher. And this class had easy steps in home. Have worthy time with this class now.

My young 6 year old did a one-hour online Magic, Etc. class, and loved it. She came away from it excited, and with a magic trick she wanted to practice and enjoyed showing people. She can be shy with new people but the instructor brought her out of her shell, and she was very engaged. I hope more of these single workshops are offered!

My son and daughter love Kim's class, they like the instruction about every artist or their story which they learned in the class, and Kim is patient with kids, their art class not only teach the art technique but also let kids know about the arts.

My 10 year old son has taken other magic classes but this was his favorite by far. He can’t wait to do more!

Loved! They had breakout sessions and 1 on 1 help if needed. Definitely a favorite virtual week this summer.

My 7 yr old son was highly engaged throughout the week and has been performing magic tricks to friends and family! I was impressed with the number of tricks he learned in one week. The instructors are also kind and handled the challenging dynamics of the online format with ease.

Not only did this class keep my energetic 7 year-old engaged for 3 hours a day, it gave her the confidence to perform for a group, ingenuity to create her own magic tricks, dedication to practice the skills, and the joy and pride that can only come from succeeding at something difficult. Steve and Jay are WONDERFUL facilitators, hilarious, and inspiring. THANK YOU for all that you do.

My daughter had so much fun during her week of magic camp! I enjoyed coming home everyday to her so excited to so me her new tricks!

My daughters love to take Kim’s art class. Since SIP has been started, my kids took her class several time. Whenever her art class was over, my kids seemed so happy. Their creativity went up high and they couldn’t stop making art pieces for hours. Kim is a true gem. I can’t wait to see my kids’ artwork at her summer camp!!!

Highly recommended!! My daughter loved the camp. All magic tricks were so well planned as per age. Steve and Jay has been wonderful organiser and teacher. My daughter found it so amazing. She is already looking forward for next event.

My son loved this magic camp, I wish there were more offerings! It was interesting and easy to follow. I'm grateful to have this option since summer camps were closed this year.

My son was in this STEM class after school, and he loved it. I dropped by sometimes to see what he liked so much. The staff just understands kids and how to engage them, and has an endless supply of "cool" activities.

The camp was very fun with great instructors! My daughter enjoyed it a lot. The method of teaching was good for the kids.

My son LOVED this magic & balloon camp!!! Steve & Jay have excellent ways to engage their students virtually! I highly recommend this camp!!! Both of my kids, 8 and 11 years old, attended online magic camp with Steve Koehler last week. They absolutely LOVED the camp - Steve is funny, supremely patient, and always encouraging. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our kids! Steve also really emphasized the importance of having a growth mindset, which is really important and resonated with the kids.

Thank you so much for such a great art-focused summer class.  My daughter Avery absolutely loved it (and Miss Kim)! I was a little apprehensive that she wouldn't stay focused for the classes, but she was really excited for all of the projects and was super sad that today was her last day. The pace was right, the projects were fun, and I loved that each class started with a story about the author. Thank you for offering such a great virtual summer class!!

I would highly recommend this camp to any parents. My 6-year-old boy did their summer camp. He told me it was the BEST camp ever. He likes all the magic he's learned.

I highly recommend this camp! Innovation for Youth rocks!!!!!! I can not say enough about Innovation for Youth! Since the beginning of the lockdown my daughter has been taking online classes through multiple platforms. This Magic Camp was BY FAR THE BEST one we have taken! The week of classes went by so fast! My daughter was so sad on the last day when she woke up that I had to quickly find another class to sign up for to cheer her up before class started! From the second the class begins, Mr. Steve, the Magician, is engaging with every student. I love the roar of laughter from all the kids every morning while they try to wake Mr. Steve up because he always has been practicing magic all night! 😂 Mr. Steve is AMAZING at magic, but even more magical at being patient! Never have I ever seen someone with the amount of patience he has with children. (This most likely why they all did so well!!!) Mr. J is equally fantastic! I can tell he has such a passion for teaching and mentoring. He is always so energetic and really to help any child that might be struggling.
These two really get it. They figured out how to make online learning work so well that it feels like they were in my living room!

My daughter learned more than just a couple of magic tricks this week, she learned patience, courage and a skill she can continue to build and use as she chooses!

My son enjoyed the class and he learnt some tricks after taking one class. He performed for us. And it worked. Glad he had fun and we will take it again.

I would recommend them wholeheartedly. Innovation For Youth is a fantastic organization. All the teachers have been enthusiastic and excited about their subjects. The content is geared towards the age of each of my four children.

The teacher and the moderator work well together to provide a good lesson. We're regular customers!

This was a blast! My son learned a lot of tricks and was very excited to share his new skills with me!

My granddaughter has loved attending this class. All the hands on activities and projects for the students to do are well-thought-out and prepared for. My granddaughters favorite lesson was the one on binary coding.
