Magic the Gathering trading card game has come to camp! Kids will learn the rules, practice building decks, compete with other campers, participate in fun tournaments and try to defeat our Planeswalkers (counselors). The goal is to help kids learn to play and provide them with some basic decks and accessories they can take home and begin to play with on their own.

Our camp is held outdoors at Mitchell park so the kids can get some sunshine while they play their favorite trading card game. Each day of camp will focus on a different segment of the game: rules, deck building, practice games, competition and try to beat the masters. No experience is necessary and kids will take home a couple of beginner decks, sleeves to protect their cards and a game mat so that they can start playing at home with friends and family.

Magic the Gathering is a trading card game with amazing art, lore and very cool fantasy themes. Each player can create their own playstyle and theme and pick a favorite color from black, white, blue, red and green (or include two or three in your deck). Then collect, build, trade and play! There is no end to the potential ideas and combos kids can come up with. Watch as their imaginations soar and their strategic minds engage.

(Outdoor Free Play for Kids)

My 5 year old went to 6 different camps last summer through Palo Alto (Enjoy), Stanford, and Legarza - this was by far his favorite. He has asked that he only do this camp next year. He got to go to various locations around the Bay Area and explore nature. It was definitely his only camp where he was a kid being a kid. Will definitely do this next year!

Very good. My kid really enjoyed the activity but the weather on that week was really hot.

My son had so much fun that he wanted to do it the following week. If your kid has any interest in learning DnD or already does, I highly recommend this program. James is kind, enthusiastic, patient, and an incredibly imaginative DM (Dungeon Master)
