About
HiTech Yeti

At HiTech Yeti we believe that learning through play and experimentation is the most effective way to master new skills.

Our mission is to make STEM education FUN, Accessible, and to give kids more opportunities to socialize with likeminded peers!

We learn who we are by interacting with others. Kids more than anyone need time to socialize and play with each other. If we can’t do this in person then online is the next best option.

My son Alex loved the games! And I must commend HiTech Yeti for having such an incredible patience trying AND succeeding at overcoming some technical obstacles with my son's account to have him join the gaming environment. The instructor has a great ability to multi-task, play the games with the kids, converse and provide instructions. Both his knowledge and passion for Minecraft games is vast and it shows. Awesome session! :)

Chris truly went above and beyond and delivered a fun and informative gaming and coding experience for my daughter. He both worked with us on a schedule overlap we had one day, and did an excellent job communicating. He also did a great job handling it when there was a small kerfuffle/confusion in play with another kid, and my daughter was enthusiastic enough to want to do another week.

Questions & Answers
Will you hold this class again on weekends or a different schedule during weekdays? Unfortunately my son is already enrolled in a course Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm PT but would love to attend the Minecraft Electric Engineering class (Minecraft Electrical Engineering) -

What are the computer requirements for Roll20? (Dungeons & Dragons Morning Club!) -

Roll20 has very small computer requirements, because it is all web based. As long as you have internet and the computer works, then you should be fine. Roll20 can also run quite well on iPads. I do recommend a headset with a mic attached though. It's not required, but it makes connecting audio much easier. -
How many kids to a session? (Dungeons & Dragons Morning Club!) -

We have an average of 5-6 players per game. With a max of 7. -
Will the kids be interacting with each other online? This is my 1st time signing up my son so was wondering how it works. What I need to get for him? (Dungeons & Dragons Morning Club!)

Great question! Yes, for all of our classes the students interact a lot. In Dungeons & Dragons the kids are interacting the entire time. They are all part of a group going on adventure together, and they need to decide on what to do together. To be ready for this class you only need to have Zoom installed. We do everything else for the game using the Roll20 free online D&D game client. When you enroll you will receive a link to join the game 3 days before the week starts. -
