Overview

We are happy to announce our Fall OST Soccer Program!!

It is time to get ready for some socially distanced soccer training and conditioning sessions coached by the University of San Francisco Men’s Staff and Elite Collegiate Players!

It is important to note that this will NOT be a team practice or scrimmage but instead is a socially distanced training environment where there will be individual skill development drills and individual challenges. Our staff is highly trained and has worked to develop a fun yet distanced training curriculum that we believe the players will enjoy. Not quite the same as group soccer training was done at our summer camp, but still fun with some added distance in between each player!

Location: ROSSI Playground 600 Arguello Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94118

Grades: First Grade - 8th Grade

Information About Health Directive - This is city-wide for ALL youth programs in SF

The San Francisco Department of Public Health issued a new directive on Friday, August 14 regarding allowable youth activities for the entire city. The new order categorizes these activities as “Outside-of-School Time (OST)” programs and they are intended for all children and youth in elementary school and up (kindergarten through 12th grade). The format of OST programs will be small cohorts similar to summer camp pods.

OST Program Guidelines for Children in Elementary School and Up (K-12):

  • Each cohort must have no more than 14 children (reduced on August 26th from 20)

  • Each cohort must run a minimum of 3 weeks

  • Each cohort must have a maximum of 2 instructors

  • Cohorts must be stable so participants and instructors can not mix cohorts; a participant/instructor is expected to be only part of one cohort at a time

  • Participants must maintain 6 ft social distancing as much as possible

  • Equipment should not be shared if possible but if it must, items must be sanitized

  • Games, scrimmages, and competitions are not allowed

Make Your Own Cohort - We have the park permit and coach available!

*If you are intrested in creating your own cohort of 11-14 players (classmates, teammates, friends), please reach out as we have space and coaches for two additional cohorts on Tuesday and Thursday at either 3:30 PM-4:30 PM or  4:30 PM-5:30 PM

(University of San Francisco Soccer Cohorts - OST)
January 17, 2020 - Kristin Lewis
Our boys were in the soccer camp at USF last year when Leonard was the director and this year we heard he is running the whole camp. We could not be happier to hear that since I had a chance to meet him and he was extremely approachable. My kiddos also said he was really FUN coach.

We also loved the University of San Francisco location because there is one way in and one way in and out of the stadium, so safety is not a concern... super important in San Francisco! Oh, and there is a parking structure where we were able to park for easy and quick dropoff and pickup. The boys will be back out there again this year and I will opt for the extended care option so that they can get ALL of their wiggles out so they come home tired! That is the parent perk of an all-day soccer camp.
