About
Green Acres Ranch Inc.

Our lesson program provides both English and western riding lessons for people of all ages and disciplines. We have a number of instructors available here. All of whom have risen up through our riding program under the careful instruction of our head trainer Margaret Rich. Margaret is a recorded judge with the Arabian Horse Association and brings over 40 years of equine of experience to each lesson she gives. She is the owner of Green Acres and she and her two accomplished children (Katherine, and Roy) are both trainers here at Green Acres and play an active role in the day to day operations of the ranch.

Private riding lessons through our lesson program cost $80 for a 75 minute lesson but most of the lessons we give here are in a group setting. Our group lessons cost $45 for a 75 minute lesson and are available every day of the week except for Mondays. Many of our clients conveniently schedule their lessons through our online scheduling system but we are more than happy to schedule your lessons over the phone or in person at our office which is open 7 days a week from 9am to 4pm. We have approximately 30 lessons horses in our program, all of which are well trained, tested, and safe for riders of all levels. Helmets are provided and encouraged but are optional for riders over the age of 18 years old.

In addition to our lesson program, our 50 acre facility boasts a number of professional trainers on site who specialize in a wide range of disciplines from working western (cow work) to dressage and everything in between. All of our trainers and their clients and horses compete at the highest levels of competition in their field and regularly bring home prestigious awards to show for their hard work.

For those who are interested in showing closer to home and not at the national level, Green Acres offers two Temecula Valley Green Acres Community Shows each year (in April & October) We welcome our students to compete on both their own horses as well as on our Green Acres lesson horses(mostly retired show horses) against other local equestrians who trailer in to enjoy our reputable day shows. Admission to the public is free and we welcome spectators!

In addition to morning riding lessons, weekends here at the ranch stay lively. Saturday and Sunday afternoons are reserved for events. We boast a successful and affordable Girl/Boy Scout badge earning program for local troops, and for an afternoon full of fun, our trained horses and staff provide an entertaining and exciting birthday party with horseback riding for up to 30 participants. Many of our guests have so much fun that they will return again. Many children will sign up for one of our various weekly sessions of Summer Camps that are geared toward new and frequent riders. Several of our adult guests will come back to enjoy a behind the scenes Ranch Ride tour on horseback either with or without wine tasting afterwards. Our Ranch Ride tours run three times per day on Tuesdays through Sundays and offer a guided relaxing ride for up to 4 guests on our quiet trail horses.

We are very excited about horses here at Green Acres and like to believe that we have something here for everyone. Come see what all the fuss is about!
