Great Basin Outdoor School

At Great Basin Outdoor School, we offer a variety of programs that immerse students in the natural world and teach local ecology through experiential, standards-based activities. Our guided hikes, outdoor day camps, and multi-day overnight ecology camps connect students with nature in spectacular settings, including the Nevada shoreline of Lake Tahoe, the rich riparian zone along the Truckee River, and other local natural sites. Our programs aim to foster cooperation, responsibility, and respect through hands-on learning in the the outdoors.
