About
Grandma's House

We know that you're looking for a camp that will be entertaining during your camper's holiday. The problem is, you're not sure where to send them! The problem is, there are so many options, and you're not sure which would be the right choice.

There should be a place where you feel confident to leave your child and be sure they'll have fun and learn something new!

That's why Grandma's House was created - to provide a place for campers to learn brand-new life skills to guide them to live more confident and capable lives with joy! For many years, Grandma Linda has been caring for children and teaching them new skills along the way. From sewing a button to making jam to learning to cook, Grandma Linda will help the future generations learn traditional and usable life skills to become more independent and confident in life!

As a grandmother to two of my own grandchildren I have noticed that my own grandchildren don't know many of the skills my mother and grandmother taught me growing up. I wanted to start Grandma's House because I love children and I want to keep alive some of the traditions and skills I learned as a child.

Skills such as sewing, cooking, crafts, small building projects, macramé, gardening, knitting, canning, etc...are the types of activities that kids will learn at Grandma's House. We will also have story time, snacks, outdoor free play, visits to the library and regular field trips.

We highly recommend it! Our son (6) had an amazing week with Grandma Linda. They did different activities every day and our son came home happy and smiling. He loved feeding the fish in Linda's pond, learned new card games, decorated his own flower pot, tie-dyed his own shirts, and many other things. At dinner, our son would not stop talking about his day and what he had done and learned that day. He could not wait to go back. Thank you very much, Grandma Linda!

My daughters had a fantastic time with Grandma Linda. There were fun activities every day, whether it was sewing, macramé, making pickles, or baking delicious cookies from scratch (including sifting flour). Tie-dying was also a hit :) Linda is an excellent teacher and really takes time to put together a camp which is fun and engaging for kids. She was flexible with us for pickup and dropoff times as well. Even in the midst of Covid, I felt very comfortable leaving my children with Linda--she took appropriate precautions at all times (masks, hand washing etc) either at the house or during outside trips. This camp is a gem in the San Mateo/Burlingame area!

They did so many fun activities and excursions. Linda is a wonderful person who truly enjoys teaching kids.
