Golden Gate Skateboarding is the best! Wesley (owner) is such a great and supportive instructor. And they take advantage of the beautiful outdoor spaces near Waller Street Skate Park. My son LOVES this camp!

Amazing camp! My son can’t wait to go back and we are signing up for Saturday classes. He learned so much and I felt confident that he was safe and in great hands…and he was exhausted at the end of the day which is rare for my 6y/o!!

Wes and team are THE BEST. They have given so much confidence and support to both my boys over the years. This is one of our absolute favorite camps to attend, whether in the summer or on school holidays. We are so grateful for his team and for the skills and patience they have with all kids of all levels.
I wish my parents could have sent me to a camp like this as a kiddo! I'd be a much better skater!

I love these camps for my 7-year-old avid skater. It's a great opportunity for him to get out and 'rip' at the skate park, test his limits safely with their knowledgeable staff and work on expanding his skate skills. He always has a blast, leaves sweaty, dirty and super pumped on skating.

Excellent experience for a first time skateboarder. The teachers were great and very safety oriented!

Our daughter (7yo) has attended 1-day sessions with GGS twice now. The first session was larger and a bit more hands-off/free-form. The second class was at Balboa and with a smaller group she got a lot more attention and improved significantly. The teachers were great, very attentive and helpful. Kiddo loved it and will definitely take these when we can fit into our schedule.

Great camp & great staff! My son was a complete beginner & had a blast.

My kid was pretty new to skateboarding and is fairly risk averse so we weren't sure how it would go, but he had so much fun. The coaches are all kind and encouraging and we ended up signing up for a second week. It's been over a month and he still talks about it so we'll definitely try for it next summer too!

My son attended a one day skateboarding camp over spring break. He was supposed to attend a second day, but it was rained out. He was a bit nervous about learning to skate board, and come home with skills and confidence. He then held his own "skateboarding camp" in our garage to teach us the trick he had learned (flipping over a skateboard and landing on it). We signed him up for 2 upcoming Saturday sessions, and plan to sign him up for summer camp. What a great program that gives kids real world skills!

IT was great. My son is building more confidence in his skateboarding and really wants to go back! Plus he said the teachers were very nice and did some cool tricks for the kids. We will be coming back.

This class was great for kids at all different levels of skating. My kiddo was brand new to it but was much more comfortable on the board after the class. There was a great teacher-to-student ratio and each teacher took individual time w. each kid. I would recommend this class!

My kid had a great time, and improved so much in the one week they attended! They want to go back for more. Really nice instructors, and great mix of organization and chill vibes.

My son was nervous but the counselors were patient and made him feel he could do it. He had a great, great time!

My 8-year old novice skateboarder absolutely loved his week of summer camp! My super-cautious kid was definitely more confident on the board and wanted to show off his skills every day at pickup. We'll be back for more session next summer!

Amazing camp! Both of the boys loved this camp. They were excited to go in the morning and tired, happy and pumped at the end of the day. They learned the fundamentals, made friends and got to work with awesome coaches and kids. Highly, highly recommend!

Great outdoor camp! Very nice and patient instructors. My, not easy to please (and occasionally challenging) kid said he would love to do it again.

My son loved the camp. He learned how to ride, push and go downhill. He was exhausted from working so hard and very happy at the end of the day. Great way to spend a day!

My daughter loves Saturday skateboarding! She has the best time, enjoys the park and learning new skills. Wesley, Lizzy and Cody are fantastic teachers, patient and encouraging! ❤️🛹🌈

We were very happy with Maxwells experience. He came home very excited about what he learned each day. Even though two days got rained out in the middle of the week, I was happy with the communication from the organizers. And very glad that they took it day by day to make sure that the kids had some days of camp, and not just canceling the whole week.

They did an excellent job - just wish there were more girls!

My son just finished up with the after school camp and he LOVED it! Wesley is a very kind and patient instructor and my son progressed so much in just 5 days, I was blown away! I highly recommend for any kid with some interest in skateboarding!

My son had so much fun at skateboard camp in June 2021. He got tips on technique and plenty of time to work on whatever skills he wanted. The group also got to play at Koret Playground, and the rips in my kid's pants on 2 out of 5 days testified to a day of active play in the great outdoors. Finally, I appreciated Wes's willingness to learn about food allergies, which is important for making sure kids with allergies can have a worry-free camp experience.

Golden Gate Skateboarding is absolutely fantastic! Wesley and his team are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and really know how to engage students with varying level of experience. My kids had a blast and we will definitely do it again soon!

Skateboard camp is hands down the best thing my son has done this year! It so great to see him having so much fun and getting good so quickly. For three hours a day he forgets about the virus and is just a happy kid. Thank you!

Golden Gate Skateboarding camp was fantastic! Wesley was wonderful. My seven year old daughter had never been on a board before but learned quickly. She felt comfortable and confident by the end of day one. Wants to go back for more!

My seven-year-old son had a blast. He had no skateboarding skills on day one - and was feeling super confident and ready to learn tricks by the end of the week. He's a tough grader on most camps - but definitely enthusiastic about doing this one again!

Our two girls (8 and 6) loved the camp. One of their all-time favorites.

Wesley and Phil were great instructors. They kept both our kids (6th and 1st grades) happy all day with a range of activities. The children finished the day exhausted but elated. Would definitely recommend.

Wes and his aide, Phil, were both great at making the kids, and parents, feel at ease. They had a dialed in system with added precautions and genuinely seemed happy to help teach the kids of various ages and abilities. The kids could go with the flow of natural distractions of being at camp outside but really learned a lot. From the mouth of my 6 year old daughter: It was fun. I like how it was challenging and we got rewarded when we did something good. Time for round 2!
