My daughter Akeelah, who was 9 at the time, totally enjoyed her time at Girl Talk last summer. Since I was not able financially to place her in any camp, she was referred by her after school program Girls Inc. of Albany, GA, a recipient to attend this camp free of charge. Akeelah and I was very grateful for this invitation. Akeelah especially enjoyed the week of meeting new girls and most of all she enjoyed being able to express herself via her creativity. Akeelah was amazed at the girls who had the some of the same interest she had. I would love for Akeelah to be able to attend this camp again at Deerfied-Windsor lower campus as she did last summer. If there is anyway for my message to get to any of the affiliates of this awesome project in an effort for my daughter to attend again via a scholarship, again, I would be appreciative.
Sincerely,
Ms. Kisha S. Hightower, mother of a proud Girl Talk girl
