We will focus on solidifying strategies for each speech and learning some helpful templates that will help greatly in terms of execution during the year.
We will also focus on rebuttal skills and strengthen argument generation, i.e. the skill of being able to come up with arguments on the spot.
We will also focus on crystallization of arguments, choosing which arguments to collapse to in later speeches, and how to properly weigh those arguments against other arguments in the debate.
Finally, we will focus on establishing a “narrative” in the debate round and being consistent with that narrative throughout the debate in order to more cohesively express arguments to the judge.
