About
Firecracker Math

Firecracker Math is for curious and challenges loving kids from Grades K - 11. In our math classes, we will show your child that math can be incredibly creative, exciting, and fun.

Our program is based on the best traditions and classical methods of teaching mathematics.

We introduce and explore math concepts and problem-solving techniques. Students develop a love for math as they learn how to apply reasoning skills and logical thinking to all aspects of their studies. We will help your child to build a solid foundation and understanding of mathematics. Theoretical instructions are combined with practical exercises that employ chess, brainteasers, and logical puzzles to demonstrate serious mathematical concepts.

We offer small class sizes, experienced and enthusiastic teachers, and an individual approach according to each student’s needs.

Our program offerings are:

- Afterschool enrichment

      - Onsite

      -  Virtual Live online

- Onsite Summer Camps

- Virtual Live online and offline Summer Math Boost Program Week-long Sessions

Ella Levine- Program Director and Teacher

Ella Levine began her math education as a young child, working closely with her grandfather, a math professor. She soon enrolled in the popular correspondence math course offered by Moscow State University and completed the 3-year program with honors.

She won multiple awards in math olympiads during her high school years. She received her MS in applied mathematics from the Moscow Petrochemical University. Her Ph.D. program in math statistics was interrupted by immigration to the United States in 1991. While working in a high-tech industry, Ella continued to teach math: as tutor for middle and high school students and as a teacher at a Russian weekend school.

Hello, You will need to check with your accountant and/or company you work with whether the class can be considered as aftercare or dependant care. Thank you, Sherri -
My son will be entering 6th this coming school year, and will be taking a math placement exam with his new school sometime in August. He has already had some algebra and geometry in the past school year. We are looking for a refresher course (i.e. one-week camp) to prepare him for the placement test. What camp would be recommended? Thanks (Summer MATH Boost Track A)

Thank for reaching out to us. There are a few options for you. We have a Summer Math Boost Program that is divided out by grade level. This is a program designed to build on math skills taught in their normal math class. It is not specific to any grade level but rather skills that will enhance what the children already know - building on the skill of applying the information. The other option is tutoring. If there is specific content you would like to cover to prepare him for an exam then one on one instruction may be a good fit. -
