Join us for an enriching fun learning session to understand the basics of 3D printing.

In this 12-weeks online course, the students will learn 3D modeling and printing, converting images to 3D models, and critical basic concepts. The course will uncover the core processes behind 3D printing and reveal one of the most powerful capabilities of the 3D printing revolution-that it's accessible to anyone.

WEEKLY BREAKDOWN

Weeks 1 to 2: Part 1 - Intro to 3D Modeling and 3D Printing

Weeks 3 to 4: Part 2 - Digitizing your Design

Weeks 5 to 6: Part 3 - Preparing and Exporting a 3D Model

Week 7 to 8: Part 4 - Design Tips

Week 9 to 10: Part 5 -Designing your 3D Model

Week 11 to 12: Part 6 - Uploading Your Design, get ready to print.

Note :

You do NOT require a 3D printer to enroll in this course. We teach simulation of 3D objects and we can get it printed and ship it to you if you are interested. We have an option for a wide range of ages to join the course as we would like to give an opportunity for every student who did not have a chance to learn to code. With that said, we go by skill, age when we bring in students into groups. We group them according to their skill level to make sure they progress well in the camp. We try to maintain 1:6 teacher to student ratio.

This was such a disappointment for my son that I felt bad. They started out with very simple 3D models and continued on that path. He was so bored. They didn’t cover steps to printing; or how to scale for printing;. Day 3 was still such basic models that I excused him from finishing. The teacher actually said she doesn’t have or use a 3D printer and gave a phone number for their consultant to field questions. This was basically a class in how to create simple 3D models using a single app. We felt the class was misrepresented.

Thank you for your feedback. From the description your son seem to be an advanced student. We have to manage the curriculum for all the students including basic or no skills prior to the camp. We teach more than one app if entire group is ready to transition from one to another in 10 hours .[ 5-day (2 hr) format]. Having said that if you had made known to the instructor that I already know this app and desire to switch to Blender or any other app, we could have tried accommodating for your child. As far as actual printing goes, during the covid time ,we can only demonstrate 3D printer and answer all your questions. Our consultant from the office came one zoom call and answered all questions. if you need further assistance we can provide a phone number and he can assist you with anything related to 3D printer. Prior to COVID we used to bring printer to location, we could not do that anymore. Hope you understand.

My daughter enjoyed this class, and learned a number of tricks and skills for effective 3D printing. She is now much more competent, knowledgeable, and confident at printing as well as designing.
