Overview

STEAM SPRING BREAK CAMP (ages 5-7, 7-10 and 10-12)

Monday-Friday, April 1-5

Join us for a week (or just a day or two) of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math during Spring Break. Throughout the week we are inspired by the Mario Brothers to study the anatomy of turtles and mushrooms and build race cars. We program ozobots and learn programming skills. Later in the week campers become structural and electrical engineers, use science to create art masterpieces, escape the lab using math, and more.

On Technology Tuesday, we suggest students bring a device or laptop for programming projects - ages 7-10 and 10-12 need a physical keyboard for their programming projects.

10-12 year olds will be working on advanced projects in our STEM Lab, including electroplating, soldering, drone piloting, LEGO powered machines projects and more (our Camp Leader will walk them up the sidewalk each day to our STEM Lab).

  • Super Mario Brothers Science - Monday, April 1

  • Technology Tuesday - Tuesday, April 2

  • Engineering - Wednesday, April 3

  • Artsy Fartsy - Thursday, April 4

  • Math Puzzles - Friday, April 5

Location: Discover Science Center (suite 5)

Highly recommend! I try to put my 9 year old son in camp with his friends, but it wasn't possible this Spring break. He still loved it. He looked forward to going back every day and learned through play.

Hi Deborah, Thanks for your message. It depends on which program you are inquiring about. Our Young Explorers classes (3-5 year olds) require parent participation during class. Parents sometimes stay for the first week of homeschool classes, and during Girl Scout workshops as well. Parents do not stay for after-school programs, Parents' Night Out or our camps. Hopefully, I covered the program you are interested in. If not, please let me know so I can clarify. Thanks for your interest, Tonya -
