Creative Drama & Acting Classes

The Creative Drama Studio offers theatrical experiences for children through creative drama and acting classes, helping them develop their creativity, communication and collaboration skills, and self-confidence.

Creative Drama classes are a wonderful opportunity for young children to gain experience:

• 1) using their imaginations in collaborative activities with students their same age,
• 2) performing in front of their peers and small audiences to help overcome stage fright and the fear of public speaking,
• 3) fully engaging their bodies, voices, and imaginations to bring characters to life.

Creative Drama classes are themed around concepts familiar to and relatable for children of each age group.

Acting classes are available for older students to focus more on the art and craft of acting, as well as developing specific performance skills. Students will learn concepts 

such as: objectives, tactics, vocal inflection, parts of the stage, blocking, gestures, etc.  These classes will delve into improvisation, monologues, and short scenes to work on character development and making bold choices.
