About
Cook n Grow

Cook n Grow offers BYOB Cooking Experiences and hands-on cooking lessons for kids all ages. We love people and cooking is our passion! Our mission is for people to experience how fun Cooking is and stop seeing it as a chore. We start with the kids, teaching them where food actually comes from and teaching them how to cook from scratch using real ingredients. If you are bored of the same and are looking for something unique, you have found us!

About the founder

Gina Carrera takes no offense to being told that she belongs in the kitchen. She WILL, however, be miffed if you don’t join her. A world class cooking instructor, Gina’s love of all things food and wine began at a young age, surrounded by the loving embrace of her family on their vineyard. Jealous yet? Just wait. Gina took a break from cooking to become an Architect!

Yes, you read that right. Gina spent years working in Architecture, she was involved with several projects like overseeing production of a hospital and a children’s museum in Zacatecas, Mexico before relocating to Texas. Life took her all over the globe, giving her the opportunity to immerse herself in other culinary cultures.

Our experience with Cook N Grow has been PHENOMENAL! My daughter loves the program and would love to go every week if I would let her:) I'm amazed at the level of patience that she has when working with the kiddos! I have shared this organization with many other coworkers, family and friends. Thanks for being GREAT!
