Chrissy’s Studio LLC

Chrissy started teaching in Rochester in 2009 during the summer seasons, mostly piano lessons, and all-year-round in 2012, starting violin/viola and voice and travelling to all of her students!  In 2016, Chrissy joined the Minnesota Music Teachers’ Association and Music Teacher National Association in order to offer competition opportunities to students, although competitions are not the focus of the studio.Chrissy opened her current location off of West Circle Drive NW in June 2018 and added ukulele lessons!  Ukulele has been an extremely fun addition to the studio with students ranging in age from 4 to 67!Summer 2019 brings a new musical opportunity as well: Summer Programs!  We are excited to try out a program for preK, ukulele design, and musically inspired STEM!While Chrissy has high expectations for every student, she tries to make lessons fun: students help pick some of their music—we aim for 3 “projects” each year, studio classes let students be more social, and games and technology keep learning fresh!  There is a recital each spring and a public holiday music share each December at a local "Old Folks" home.
