Chess Tutors

We are an organized, insured and reliable not-for-profit, California Distinguished Educational Service Provider.

We are devoted to the development of life skills and student academic success. Our aim is to give students in the K-8th grades confidence that they can learn the strategies and techniques of chess and apply them to every area of their lives.

They learn to take responsibility for every move they make in life as well as on the chess board. In the most practical terms, students learn concentration skills necessary to master any academic discipline.

Our mission is to promote education, heighten cognition and ignite the FUN in Learning for all youth within our community.

With a strong focus on intellectual achievement and personal responsibility we at Chess Tutors are more concerned with developing life masters than chess masters. With that in mind, Chess Tutors looks to instill positive affirmations in the hearts and minds of every child. It is our belief that words give birth to thoughts and thoughts, once well rooted, give birth to actions and our actions, over time, become habits and habits give birth to our character and our character determines which paths we chose in life.
 
Students learn under the guidance of a team of Life Coaches, Supplemental Educators and Chess Instructors who have been trained to make learning fun. Our concentrated instructional techniques have proven to enhance cognition, critical thinking, mental discipline and problem solving skills all while igniting the FUN in learning.
