Challenger Sports Soccer Camps

Signed up 2 kids to 1/2 day camp for a week. Ages 11 & 12.
For beginners, this camp is perfect. The coaches were nice and great, personable with the kids and helpful. But my kids have been playing for quite a few years, although rec league players - this camp taught my kids nothing new as far as skills.
Pretty much paid to keep them busy a few hours a day. I will say they did at least keep my kids involved and my kids didn't complain or not want to attend. So they did go every day, which is actually saying alot for the 12 year old boy who will tap out when it's remedial.

My son just turned 3 years old and I did not know he has interest playing soccer. I am grateful for this summer camp as they help children learn skills. The trainor was friendly and very patient. My son was able to understand every instruction and rules. My son had a great time playing and I'm sure he learned a lot of things. We did not finish the whole session as we had to fly out of state. Surely it would have went smoothly because my son really enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend tiny tikes esp. the team.

TinyTykes was my son’s very first sports camp (or sports experience in general), and he absolutely loved it. He was the youngest in his group and hesitant to jump in at the start, but the coaches were so friendly and intentional about welcoming him and encouraging him to “give it a go.” By the end of the week, both his skills and his confidence had improved immensely. Thank you!

The soccer camp with the fantastic coaches Jacob, Merseigne and Olly provided a great experience for my grandchild! She has played soccer for 3 years, but the drills and activities kept her interested and engaged and at the same time reenforced and improved on the soccer skills she already has! This had a positive effect on her confidence level! She was very excited about the World Cup series! There was enough kids for 6 teams and each team chose a country to represent. The last few days of camp the “countries” would compete against each other. A fun and educational at home activity had the kids making homemade flags for their country to bring on the final day of the World Cup! Jacob, Merseigne and Olly each exemplified the qualities any public facing organization must have in order to be successful in building and more importantly, retaining customers. I will definitely use this organization again based on my experience with them!

Accidentally signed my son up for an all girls soccer camp and they waited till my I brought my son, who was very excited for soccer, fully dressed in shin guards & cleats, to the first day to tell me in front of him. Not only was their description of the camp not informative, and no email I received indicated it was “all girls” but even if I completely missed it, they knew based my entering him as “male” on the registration that he wasn’t going to be able to participate. They waited till the moment I thought I’d be dropping him off and going to work, to break the news to me. They could have easily called me weeks ahead of time so I could handle setting him up in another camp instead of wasting my time and energy. Rude and unprofessional.

My 3yr old son loved it! Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and was only able to do 3 of the 5 days, but it gave him a chance to try it. The coaches were great with the little kids. We will definitely be doing another camp!!

My daughter was placed with the older elementary kids since nobody else enrolled in her age group. That being said even though she doesn’t have the attention span the coach went above and beyond with her giving her breaks when needed and extra time with instructions if needed. We have already recommended this program to others. Thanks!

Fantastic!! Our boys LOVED camp this week and couldn't have been more excited about soccer. They were hesitant to go on day #1 and didn't want to be over on the last day. What more could you hope for, EXCELLENT!

It was a great experience. My daughter loved every moment of it and we will definitely will be doing it again. The coaches were great with the kids and new exactly how to handle them.

Our daughter had a lot of fun at this full day soccer camp and made some great friends! We will definitely repeat next year!

The coaches were very nice, however the camp was very very unorganized. My son honestly didn’t really learn anything that he didn’t already know. We would have liked to see more Structure and more basic and intermediate skills being taught. The weather here at the Callaway Sports Complex was pretty crappy, but there was one day or so the camp could have continued. They called it for rain etc. but for here that’s a normal thing during the summertime. I just feel for the price and the time, the skills just were not there and the organization was definitely not there. Also the coach to child ratio was quite a lot, maybe more instructors or members from your organization need to be present during camp. Nothing against the two coaches of course but for my sons first camp, we were hoping for him to learn more of the basics, or for him to come away with learning anything at all.

Outstanding Camp!!!! This was my 6 year old sons first experience with soccer/ camps. I was blown away about how organized it was and how much fun he had. I cannot wait till next year.

My daughter had an awesome time she wanted to stay longer everyday. The coaches were amazing and kept the kids engaged. I would definitely let her do it again.

My grandson really enjoyed it!! Will do it again..he like the instructor and was hoping to do it another week..but they are off to somewhere else..
They should do more weeks of this camp during the summer months

Great camp with options for all ages. My little guy was a big fan of the coaches

My 12 yr old twins really enjoyed the 1/2 day 12-4 afternoon camp. Even though it was 90 degrees every day. That’s saying something. They stopped for mandatory water breaks every 1/2 hour-6 water breaks in 3 hours. The staff were mostly ex college soccer players and knew what they were doing. They liked it so much that they’re attending a second session (9-12 this time) in 2 weeks and they asked us to sign them up for our local fall league! Thank you.

Week kicked off with us being in the right place at the right time as per the emailed updates I was getting from Challenger up to an hour before Monday's practice was to begin. No one was at the park, we call every coach and Challenger number we can but no one picked up. I email one of the coaches and finally getting an explanation that the email that was sent with revisions to the location of the camp but it "didn't reach" us, which sounds like a very nice way of saying "we didn't sent it to you". Tuesday, my 6 year old daughter who has never played soccer actually got to participate in the camp but coaches were inattentive to bullying and children who were not already adept at soccer. The game of lighting seems geared to specifically target children who are small and cannot block the goal of much larger children, they are then sat in the sun for 20 min so they can wait for all the skilled players have shot 4-5 more times. On Thursday I had to intervene between a skilled player that made it a personal mission to harass my daughter. On Friday two players were throwing each other on the field in an obvious fight but the coaches still didn't notice. I'm very happy I chose to stay while my daughter was at the camp the 4/5 days we actually paid for, otherwise who knows what would have happened. The children should have been taught how to help each other be better team members but it seems like the children just walked away thinking the less practiced players are the reason extremely unbalanced teams lost. She doesn't want to play soccer again because of how unhelpful this camp was.

Not at all what we were expecting. Attended day one but did not go back. They had a few minutes of warm up 20/25 minutes of foot work, then time to play soccer, coach kept score. He did not jump in and work with them or help them while they were playing the game he stood on the side lines and watched. They had a 30 minute break for circle time and back to playing. Don't get me wrong my son had a great time playing however, I didn't feel it was worth $200 and a 40 minute drive to play.

This camp was so great and the kids had a fantastic time! The coaches were so attentive and full of energy. The kids came home everyday excited to go back for more. Thanks so much!

This was such a great summer program and first intro to soccer for my son. He had an absolute blast—our coach was phenomenal. Every day Coach Miles had a fun theme planned that all the games and practices were based off of. My son loved every minute of it!!!

These camps have been a huge part of my sons soccer development and we’ve attended every year since he was old enough - He loves the coaches, WE love the content and the environment created is unlike any other. Plus you get a FREE jersey!!!

Grew up attending Challenger British Soccer Camps. Wonderful experience that taught me life long soccer skills, which lead to a collegiate soccer career and scholarship.
One of my most proudest possessions is my Challenger Camper MVP Trophy from year 2000.

This is the only camp program that has a defined player development pathway. Great coaches, and locations.

I went here and had the most fun I've ever had in a long time!

This was the first time my son has done a soccer camp, but it was well worth it. The director was organized and got to know each child. The skills presented were age and level appropriate as well. My son enjoyed scrimmage. It was great to see all the kids learning while playing. They hardly recognized that skills were being taught. We will definitely do this again.

Kids loved it. Kept them focused. Needed more than one coach for different age groups.

Great camp, my kids each went. I found the instructors fun and really just enjoying the kids. I recently, had an issue with my shyer younger child and Challenger staff were just so helpful to try everything to get her engaged. A great program, much appreciated.

I enrolled my child for the summer at Soccer Zone and found out recently, through a friend who tried to enroll, that the camp that week has been canceled. I have yet to receive an email with this information from the organization. I have called numerous times, have left numerous messages, finally got a hold of Danielle, who swore she sent an email (never received it). I gave her my email address and asked to please send me the email. It has been four days, still no email from Challenger Sports regarding making up the class or a reimbursement. Extremely disappointed I have had no response, no reimbursement of fees, this feels like a TOTAL SCAM! Soccer Zone didn't even know Challenger Sports had canceled!! Save your troubles and your money!

The coaches introduced many new and fun soccer training programs to the kids so that it remained interesting and fun. Coaches remained enthusiastic throughout the camp. All campers, regardless of their skills or abilities, were included in the rewards that were issued. These things made the camp especially fun and educational.

Two thumbs up!! My son does this camp every year!! He loves it!! The coaches are very energetic and are great with all the kids. They are very positive and knowledgeable. Your child will come out of this camp with better soccer skill and a new found love of the game! I totally recommend it!!

My 3 boys love these camps. We have been doing them for 6 years! Their coaches are mostly from England and they share their culture and passion for the sport with the kids. They have tons of energy and lots of new and creative ways to teach soccer skills. I highly recommend this program for boys and girls that want to have fun and progress their soccer skills. Hosting a Coach is a great way to learn about their culture and to meet really hard working passionate people that love kids and soccer!

My 3 children absolutely love this exciting and fun soccer camp!
We have been supporting this soccer program for years since our oldest (now 14) first started playing soccer as a 'Mini Kicker'. She had so much fun and kept wanting to attend the program each year. Once our twins were old enough (now age 9), they both took part at the camps, and they all worked their way through the camp through the different age groups. The camp really helps them develop as players and learn new skills each year - and they love taking part in the World Cup.
We love the British coaches that come over each year, and it's great for my kids to experience different culture, and to hear the British accent is always fun! We also have hosted a few coaches over the years, which really makes it a great experience for our children as they are super excited to have the coaches stay in our home. We regularly keep in touch with these coaches!
I can't wait to see who we get to meet in 2017 and the twins are already looking forward to next years camp!

My son Neil had never played organized soccer like this. He had never really shown an interest, but his friends were signed up for camp so I decided to add him too. He now LOVES Soccer. He had so much fun and learnt so many new skills. He still takes his Soccer ball everywhere with him because one of the coaches told him to treat it like his best friend! I was unsure at first, but we will be back next year!

My son attended this camp over the summer. The coaches were friendly and created an enjoyable experience, but the camper to coach ratio was much higher than other camps we have done - more than 15:1 with some kids being as young as first grade. On one occasion, a single coach was left alone with more than 30 campers! When we parents realized what was going on, we got someone there until help arrived. It would make me VERY hesitant to use Challenger Sports again.

Great experience with wonderful coaches and a great learning environment. The sessions were all well run and the kids had a great time, learning new skills from passing to shooting to dribbling etc. Would highly recommend.

I have two boys Jacob and Dylan and they both participated. My son Jacob did the half day program and loved it. The coaches were engaging and sweet. He learned a lot more than just soccer. By the end of the week the coaches felt like big brothers. My youngest is new to the sport. His coach was very patient. She had a wonderful way or gaining his attention just as he was losing it. I could not recommend this camp enough for families looking for a fun week of soccer in a very caring environment.

2 thumbs up as my daughter would say! My daughter Gwen had had a fantastic time at the Challenger Mini Kickers program. We have tried a few different locations based on the times that suit us each season (and what other classes she has) and they have all been fantastic. She likes the funny accents that the coach has & how they make each class fun & engaging.

My son Dylan had an unbelievable time! This was his first soccer experience and all of the coaches on camp were extremely engaging, patient and understanding with him as he gradually came out of his shell! He won't stop asking about going back and I think we may have found his passion :)

We love Challenger British Soccer Camp! Our son has been going to the week long summer camp for 6 years now and have never been disappointed. He loves the drills and World Cup Challenge. We have also gotten more out of the experience by hosting coaches when they arrive. The coaches are always grateful guests. If there was one thing I had to mark down would be the communication between the YMCA (which sponsors The Challenger program) and coaches. It seems the YMCA isn't the best at communicating changes to the Challenger staff. We have never had an issue ourselves but know that others have. As for the Challenger Association, any questions we have had or problems that came up were addressed and taken care of immediately. We love Challenger and have made a lot of friends thru their program.

My 4 year old is currently attending camp and he loves it!! He is the only kid but the coaches are wonderful and he is loving the one on one attention. The first day was rocky but they have totally made up for it. Worth the money and he is already asking if he can go again next week.

Beware of this camp. I registered my child for the mini soccer camp. I arrived the day of the supposed camp and the coaches were completely unaware of a mini camp despite the confirmation/camp reminder emails I received a week prior. Phone calls & emails to the organization as well as the regional director went unanswered, emails and calls were not returned. Apparently, they canceled the mini camp without notice -- I did end up getting a refund for the camp but not for the "camp package" which included the shorts & shin guards emblazoned with the company's logo. That cost almost half as much as the camp once you factor in shipping. Nobody is responding to emails or calling back regarding how to get a refund for the equipment that I apparently have no use for. The central company told me to contact the regional director but he has been unreachable by both phone and email. Terrible business & customer service.

This camp is amazing all the coaches were awesome! I would recommend this to everyone! My 10 year old son had such a great time! His coach in particular Sam is truly an amazing person thank you for everything! He learned so much and he truly felt blessed to have been part of that!

A tough week for these guys and girls, but their soccer coaches pulled them through unbearable temperatures! Great week with these British speaking coaches. We thank you so much for coming here and working hard with our kids. Please come back! This was Bluffton, SC Summer Soccer Camp 2015.

A favorite summer camp for our family! Teaches soccer skills and sportsmanship while giving insight into the sport from other countries.

We picked up this camp while traveling through Colorado and the kids enjoyed it, the coaches were friendly and fun, worked great with the kids. Can't say I felt that they picked up any new skills, but it was a fun week to have soccer with their friends.

Great camp that teaches the right skill set to help kids get better at soccer. As an avid soccer player i want to see my kids get great training.

My kids have been to Challenger Soccer Camp for 3 years in a row when we lived in California. I am happy to see that they offer the program here on the East Coast as well! Can't wait for them to go back this summer!

A friend told me about the Challenger Soccer Camp. I believe a sport camp is extremely important to children and hope to send a friend's child to this soccer one this summer. It builds skills, relationships and confidence. I am so happy to have found this website. I hope to give it a 5 star rating.

British Sports Camp is one of my son's favorite summer camps. Rather than focusing on one single sport for an entire week, they cover multiple sports, both common and more obscure. The counselors have always been energetic, informative, and enthusiastic. Keeping my son engaged and entertained can certainly be tricky, but they manage nicely.
