Challenge Island - Cherokee, Forsyth & Milton

Challenge Island offers a wide array of exhilarating, collaborative STEMtastic programming for kids ages 4 to 14+ (including senior adults). Our action-packed options include afterschool enrichment classes, in-school field trips, camps, parties, and much more! No matter what kind of Challenge Island program you choose, you can be sure it will be a blockbuster hit!

During this COVID-19 situation, the world has changed a bit and Challenge Island has changed too. While we are still offering our in person adventures, with all important safety guidelines in place, we are also offering amazing virtual experiences for children. We have virtual camps, classes and Girl Scout Workshops available. These are not sit in your chair school experiences!!  These are completely interactive, hand-on adventures with live Challenge Island teachers leading the way!!  Your kids will thank you for these!!!

From the tribal face paint to the bandanas to the beat of the tribal drum, the spirit of Challenge Island is absolutely unmistakable. A sense of anticipation and adventure fills the air as kids enter new worlds of adventure and imagination. There’s an ever-present buzz of creativity and excitement as tribes of children work together to take on the thematic challenge of the day.The magic is felt throughout every lesson and crescendos at the end when each tribe proudly presents their creation at the closing tribal council.

The tribe is at the heart of every Challenge Island experience. Far more than just a group of kids, our Challenge Island tribes function like families sharing ideas, hopes and mutual goals. They learn to negotiate, compromise and count on one another. They build bonds, friendships, tolerance and acceptance as they pool their combined strengths and resources to create a far richer product than any one of them could ever achieve individually. Our Laws of Challenge Island provide children with a framework for how to interact with others positively, productively and compassionately. These critical social skills are not formally taught in school, but they are formally taught on Challenge Island.

Our Staff

Our instructors all have teaching experience, and a love for children. All of our teachers have passed background check as well.   We also provide assistants for camps and larger events.

My daughter participated in a three day event where she was able to earn three Girl Scout (Brownie) mechanical engineering badges. She had a fantastic time and will definitely participate in additional events. It was a great experience! Thank you!

Great program! My kids are in the weekly class and they love it so much we had them host a wizardry birthday party. Tons of fun and the kids actually learned something in the process. Highly recommend it!
